What PC games are you playing?

Finished AC Syndicate and SPAZ 2.

Working on rise of the raider now and then onto Prey and Far Cry 4. Making good use of my 9 week holiday :D

This is of course once my 1080Ti gets replaced...

9 hours into Mad Max and getting bored already, which doesn't bode well...

Also playing FTL. 26 hours logged and still not beaten it! Only even got to the flagship twice!

Yeah it does get very repetitive with no real story line as an incentive to keep playing - I slugged it out for over 45 hours but couldn't get over the line. Left it uncompleted a few months back and still have no desire to back to it yet. A shame as it's a really fun game... for a while.

Finished Episode 1, really lovely game so far, and amazing music

One of my favourite games, each episode gets better. Not sure how I feel about that prequel in development by a different studio. The whole game centres around being able to rewind time but playing as Chloe/Rachel you won't have access to that...

Just picked up Dishonoured 2 in the Bundle Stars Bethesda sale. Before I start playing I was wondering how much of an understanding of the first game do you need to have to appreciate the second or is it set up in a way were it doesn't matter so much? I actually played the first one a couple of years back but gave up near the end - I got stuck somewhere in the flooded district - something about those exploding mollusc things were annoying me and I never went back it. Can I go straight in to the second one or would there be a significant benefit trying to get back in to the first one and finishing it? The problem is I can remember nothing about the plot of the first one aside from someone getting stabbed at the beginning and I can't remember any of the controls or powers I had picked up along the way so it may prove difficult to pick up where I left off...

I didn't last more than a few hours with mad max unfortunately :( clearly a well made game but sort of sick of that style of open world game at the moment

Me too. I think it's just the amount of time you pour in to them and I don't know if it's because of my age (38) or the growing library of games yet to play that I kind of just want to experience the story and get through the game rather than running around finding everything. Speaking of which, I got Saints Row 2 as part of a bundle the other day - I have no interest really in the whole open world part of it but wouldn't mind playing through the main story missions if they are any way decent - thoughts anyone?

I was gutted when I couldn't stop that person doing that thing with the roof

The Temple of Elemental Evil (COEE and Temple + mods)

I have had this in my library of unplayed games for some time despite it being the genre that I love.

What put me off for a long time was the inability to push the resolution over 1680 x 1050, and it just didn't seem right on my 21:9 monitor.

Temple + changed all of that.....and I am now thoroughly enjoying this age old game.

Its hard as hell though.

Rebel Galaxy - this was a freebee along with a purchase in GOGs summer sale. After a initially confusing first half hour this is a really fun space shooter/RPG game - completely different to anything I've played over the last few years - good stuff.

What Remains of Edith Finch - wow this is unique little gem that everyone should check out if you haven't heard of it. Classy and intriguing so far...
