*** Nintendo Switch ***

Thats looks like a proper smash bros clone... And a much better clone than PS allstars
I hope its balanced enough... may be worth a purchase.
Isn't this the game made by the people that made the popular smash bros mod that is used today in competitive tournaments? I swear that's a thing! If so they know what they are doing and this could be great. Will keep an eye on it!

no idea... just googled and found its already on steam in early beta. Lots of mixed reviews but overall its 'mostly positive'

Only £7.49 on steam

If it comes at a premium on switch ill buy it on steam first to see if i like it.

Yea I guess that price will go up in full release too, may try it and abuse the refund system just to have a look! Would be awesome if it became an indie game character brawler! Meatboy in there etc, would be so cool

Im not sure how Wii U smash was... but the SSB Brawl on the Wii was ****. I dont know what they did but it seemed completely unbalanced compared to Melee and N64... to the point where I was getting beated by people fairly new.
Maybe I was just bad but I played N64 and Melee practically every day after school when I was young and got pretty good.

And i didnt like those final smash attacks. You could whack that thing for ages for someone else to come along and tap the ball and smash it. I always felt like they Mario Karted SSB and allowed the person in last place to catch up. May be just my mind.
Anyway.. hopefully this will be good.

Edit: I just youtubed and this video explains exactly my frustrations

It's August, which means my Switch (bundled with Monster Hunter XX) will arrive fairly soon. I've just gone and ordered a few essentials from Amazon, including the Pro Controller, AmFilm screen protector, AM Case carry case and the Myriann dock shell (you have to transfer the Switch dock into it manually).

I've seen videos of people playing the Monster Hunter XX Demo and it looks a lot better than the 3DS version. For those not in the know, you can make a Japanese eShop account on your EU/NA Switch and still download Japan-exclusive games and demos from the Japanese eShop, which is what most of these folks have done. So hooray for region-free. Just another 2 to 3 weeks and I'll be (hopefully) a proud Switch owner.

I've left ordering Mario Kart for now, I may just buy it later on since I already have the WiiU version. Next game I grab will probably be Mario Odyssey or Xenoblade (or more likely both ;P). Now the only problem is finding the time to play these games. I've still not gotten to endgame on Monster Hunter Generations (the one before XX).

Wifes family are staying with us next weekend. It's a good excuse to get a second set of Joy cons for some 4 player death squared and pick up Overcooked as well :)

Also, stores are stocking the Green & Pink joy cons here now, finally...the colours I've been waiting for :)

Now I just need my console back :(

Never played monster hunter ... Looks alright. I'd buy it but the whole game will be in Japanese on release. Also looks like they have no plan to release in the west

Sonic Mania available from the eshop on the 15th. I saw something about the Japanese price being around £15, something like that. :)

Will wait for "official" pricings though. I'd like a physical version of this game...

There's no game quite like it. I've played it since the Wii days and XX is basically an expansion of Monster Hunter Generations on the 3DS, so navigating menus and such shouldn't be too difficult. Plus there's tons of resources. Anyhow, it's games like this, which region-free exists for.
