Yeah annoying for us who like physical media with consoles due to many reasons.

My pc games library is exclusively digital everything else for me has to be physical.

Did they say they won't be doing limited run switch games in general due to cost of carts etc? May be wrong! Would love it

I think they ween't going to do them in 2017. But I imagine people would buy older Switch games next year if they knew they were getting them.

Seems it is nintendo not supplying them with parts (giving them to "AAA" games over indies), rather than a cost.

It makes sense. Indie and smaller titles are better suited to digital markets when they have lower sale prices.

It does. I'll be getting Sonic Mania for sure tomorrow and according to the webpage (nintendo estore) its going to be approx 200Mb, not breaking the bank in terms of storage use.

I do love the collectors editon though as it comes with that statue of Sonic on top a replica Megadrive and also a replica cart which inside has a large 'gold ring'

i demoed Sonic Mania at EGX Rezzed earlier this year, queued for ages and absolute loved it, i flew through the Green Hill Zone level like i was back in the 90's! Cant wait til this goes live
