Xbox One X

Pre-orders were going to be early August was the last I heard. Does seem to be a big gap between announcing and Pre-ordering. It was obviously not finished when announced with certifications outstanding. Hopefully something will be mentioned soon as MS have gone a bit silent on it.

Phil Spencer has already said it's all clear it's just when they decide to let retailers pre order.

I'd imagine they will wait for Gamescom to make a "thing" of it being now available to pre order

The Pro was a mid gen refresh, Xbox x is now the flagship product for MS and the start of a new generation, they just don't want to tel anybody that and have now shifted focus to say family instead, that's how it's always going to be from now on, they will tease Xbox x 2 and then Xbox one will drop off getting awful versions of games where Xbox x will get slightly less fancy versions.

It's clever.

While it is much more powerful than an Xbox one, it is still a mid gen refresh in practice. No exclusive games...

I hope it's new information. Being led by AceyBongos, it seems it might just be a rehash of what we already know. Or else they would have shipped Major Nelson out.

I might sell my Xbox one s and upgrade to one, i only bought the s for the 4k dvd player really, i have a playstation pro also

wouldn't be surprised if its pre-orders, they are taking their sweet time with that.

Given that "everything" seems to have to be unveiled at a convention for the media, this is almost a certainty and I would put money on the pre-order go live happening next week. I for one shall be placing my order for sure!

Well, since PC gaming is now cripplingly expensive, this is the only thing I have left to get excited about :p

My first console since the MegaDrive :p **** cryptocoin miners.

But hopefully the warm and tender embrace of the Xbox will dry my salty tears.

i agree, will pre order from microsoft website, i think they are going to include crackdown 3 or PUBG beta

Crackdown 3 can't be pre ordered on digital store yet, very strange when everything else can be.

PUBG sounds like beta will be available very soon, maybe holding off on xbx to see if will be ready :)

Sadly, I will be putting my money into that god awful place they call GAME (mods please remove if breaking forum rules). Thankfully they make no margin on the consoles as they have to be sold at Microsofts RRP - personally couldn't care less about the Reseller's buy price. However since Mike Cashley has bought a sizeable stake in them we may see them around for a few years yet.

I'm still a sucker for going at midnight for a console release. Seems better to me than having to wait around kicking stones for a courier or royal mail where there are no guarantees you're going to get the thing first thing in the morning or late in the evening depending on the route the drivers have taken - least of all find out yours can't be delivered on release day due to lack of resource :/.

Less chance of it being drop-kicked onto your roof as well!

i always get a new console on day of release , then spend months wishing i didn't ..ring of death, no blu ray playback etc etc . fingers crossed this time all will be good lol

Same here, everything crossed

Don't think we will have an issue with QC here. The 360 was a black mark on Microsofts history, subsequent revisions of the 360 and the Xbox One itself have been pretty much trouble free.

I have moved on to Digital installs to avoid any blu-ray read issues. I personally dont see the point in disks now, especially when most big AAA titles will have a pre-load leading up to release day. I don't believe in 'Trading in' games as the developer sees no financial gain out of the resell; only the retailer gains profit against the cash/credit they give for the item on return.

Shawrey.
