I loved the episode, a lot of emotion in certain scenes and had my feels in overdrive.

Personally I enjoyed it, it felt like the series taking a breath before what will undoubtedly be 2 episodes of complete and utter chaos :p

Was just weird how the most time in the season was giving to story set as opposed to the events. I saw the 74min run time and the title and was honestly expecting a battle for Eastwatch.

As an aside Eastwatch looked really impressive, obviously graphically rendered but impressive all the same.

It was NOT in the official episode 6 preview. Whoever said that probably watched the leaked version and told people about it and pretended it was in the preview or that it was their own theory/idea.

eg: posts like this are more than a little supicious... https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/posts/31062050/

what post? you havent linked to a post...only posts. Are you saying i am deliberately leaking stuff that happens in ep 6 or 7 ?? Because thats bs i havent seen any leaked content.

Also you are actually making things worse by commenting on it because i guess you have seen the leaked content ...so why not ruin it for the rest of us??

Mods need to really come down with the ban/suspension hammer in this thread.

There should be ZERO content about ep 6 or 7. Including any :D or :( or any vague opinions ...like "ohh ive seen it ;) etc etc etc

You cant not discuss it by discussing it....

Ep.5 is where we are at officially for UK.

One more post about the leaked episode and this thread is going to be locked until Monday.

I wonder if we will still see Lady Stoneheart? Maybe the night king finds her and revives her to use as a weapon against the Starks but her love for her family stops her? Something like that?

Is the mountain an undead now? If so, would the night king have any power over him, or is that power only to "converted" undead, not any undead?

Totally forgot what happened to her?

Unsure what the mountain is, some kind of golem!?

I'd put her in the same category as young Griff (Aegon), not going to be used and any plot points rolled into existing characters stories.

I think Jorah's greyscale was probably picked up from Griff's (Jon Connington) plot. I'd bet good money that Arya has picked up some Lady Stoneheart plot.

Kind of understandable there is a mad number of characters in the books and more plot threads than I care to think about.

I don't consider the mountain dead/undead, he's just been through some real bad experimentation with Qyburn trying to save him from the poison which has resulted in disfigurment and inability to speak ;)

With how stretched this season is already time wise I'd rather not have any more significant characters introduced outside of Howland Reed and maybe some more flashbacks via Bran (Rheagar being one of them).

I agree. There have been multiple warnings now. Any further rule breaks, no matter how minor, will result in a suspension until the new episode airs.

yikes... I guess if they do manage to get past the wall either this season or next that could cause some havoc behind friendly lines (could be a good way for Cersei to finally be killed off)... then again, if the mission north is successful and the human/living factions are still fighting each other instead of uniting to fight the common enemy/actual threat to all humans I wonder if one side (namely Cersei) would do the unthinkable and try for an alliance with the night king?

also was skim reading your post, initially read first few words as 'mountain of undead' which, coupled with the chat/criticism earlier of the night king zipping around all over the place collecting undead, made me think of this as a possible way over the wall - WWZ style :D

perhaps the wall is a bit too tall for that though

I still reckon the below is more likely (again based on something that has perhaps gone unnoticed thus spoiler tags):

obvs the sea freezing by east watch as hinted at in the intro sequence to all the episodes this season

are people in the show still of the opinion that the wall was built to keep the wildlings out?
or have they realised it was really built to keep the dead/white walkers/ night king out?

It's one of those things that has been lost in memory/time to nearly everyone - the Children of the Forest and WW are considered fairy tales, if even remembered at all while the Wildlings were still an actual threat and thus it became all people knew/cared about - that there's this honking great wall that conviniently keeps the savages out is a slightly odd but useful convinience.
