In any case... roll on September 12th. I think I'll be selling my gloss black 256gb iPhone 7 and side stepping to the iPhone 8 256gb. I feel 512gb is a hell of a lot and I probably won't get close to filling it ! :D

I can see 512GB beeing over £1000.

As long as the 256 is around the same price as a 256 7+ then it'll be fine

If the rumours of 3 models consisting of 7s, 7s Plus and 8 are true, I doubt that would happen, unless the 7s plus is reduced in price (compared to the 7 plus).

When they unveil a new iphone, can you order that day/night? Can't remember as I've been android for a few years now.

No, They will announce it on one day (12th), then you will be able to preorder it the next Friday/or day (15th/13th) starting midnight Cupertino time.

Having only recently got a Galaxy S7 there's little chance of me changing but I'm seeing the same thing happening with every iPhone launch recently. Wild rumours with only one or two proving to be correct.

Pretty much everyone agrees there will be 3 devices this year.

I just hope that price is a sick joke.

Though I have a feeling I'll be sucked in one its all unveiled since none of the Android offerings are tempting me back.

But paying what could be £1k is beyond many people, but paying £50pm is doable to many more, even if it costs more.
24 Month interest free credit card ;)

Much more flexible than a phone contract and cheaper over all.

Plus a £1k phone will not be £50 a month without a significant down payment.

Even £50 a month is £1200 over 2 years, i can't see it being £50 a month though unless you pay £300 up front.

If rumors of £80 for some contracts with 0 up front cost, that's £1920 over 2 years, doesn't make the £1000 up front cost sim free seem so bad. Still ridiculous but not bad.

Lol what? It's just ridiculous amount of money to be spending on just a phone.

Still haven't seen any particular evidence for a '7S', no part leaks for anything. I think we will just see the '8'. The 7 and 6S will just slide down the scale and the SE might get a refresh but more likely next year. 6S might even get canned.

When we went 5 > 5S and 6 > 6S there was most certainly part leaks.

It is to some, isn't to others.

Well unless you earn a lot of money then yeh I agree but the people buying these things on mass are not those people. Almost everyone you bump into these days has a high end Apple or Samsung smart phone that costs them well over £1k over the course of the contract but then moan they don't have enough money to pay the bills or buy their own house. Mind boggling!

You expect people to be financially savy ;)

I guess so, kind of links in to the above really.

Currently using a 6S+. I don't see any need to upgrade. The only thing that would tempt me would be radically improved battery performance.
