Also, I wonder if the wmug little convo with Bronn, about paying them double, might apply to the Golden company, Cersie ships, over 20000 mercs, for them to eventually turncoat when the survivors of the north really need it.

Golden Company are supposed to honour their contracts once taken, they are famed for it. Though everyone else double crosses everyone else so who knows....

You are kidding, right? We're now a book and a half ahead of the author.
There are no book plots that could spoil the TV, other way round oerhaps, but there has been a divergence in extremis, as the books have too many threads, too many plots, too many simultaneous events.
The reason for no book spoilers was for both at the beginning. Now it mainly remains because this is a thread for 'HBO's A Game of Thrones' and not the books. I'm sure people who are reading or may want to read the books don't expect people not to discuss plots from within the show, it's what the thread is for. However, it's not that hard to use book spoiler tags for discussing events in the books that don't occur in the series. It really does require very minimal effort and means that any other threads in the books or events aren't spoiled for readers.

It's still not enough to beat the fire dragons and Daenery's army etc

Cersei's play here will be to fight along side Daenerys and the others to beat the WW/NK army in the hope the battle will depleat the opposition enough, including to kill the dragons so she can then herself beat the remnants using hired Mercs and remaining forces.

However none are aware of the undead dragon epic boss mode ice/undead/blue sky beam breath of doom which is clearly many times more destructive than the fire dragons. Also has unlimited ammo no clipping active.

I assume, since otherwise it would just be re resurrected, it has vulnerability to fire, dragon glass, valyerian steel as the opposite to the fire dragons vulnerability to the NK ice / undead lance spear and in parallel to the WW weakness.

Although, we don't know if the NK shares the same weaknesses as the WWs and Ws as it's never been tested and he clearly didn't die when beaten before, only his WWs and army. Since he personally resurrected the dragon by touch and didn't just lift his hands the dragon may be invulnerable.

Some interesting theories now with the undead dragon around the possible significance that Varys saw blue flames as part of the blood magic ritual instead of orange/red that is normal with rituals to the lord of light. Though whether that is something they will do anything with in the TV show or not is another matter even if there is anything to it.

I still think there will be another god revealed which either the NK serves or he is going to defeat.

And you think Jon would rule that way? Maybe you're watching a different show. The Targaryen history isn't really relevant to whether we should pull for Jon or not... (Or even if we want him to be Targaryen) Jon is Jon.

That's what I assumed.

I would have to fast forward to that scene but I thought the hound said something along the lines of "You know whos coming for you, you've always know". Just seemed a little weird for him to not rephrase it to, you know I'm coming for you.
Writers trying to be a little more subtle maybe.

On what basis would the Mountain know that Arya is coming for him? Did she ever tell him directly?

It'll be interesting to see what Daario, a trained lethal killer, thinks of his girlfriend shacking up with Jon Snow while she's away on holiday :D

The role of the lord of light is shrouded in suspicion for me.... The hound clegane had a vision in the fire where he sees that flat mountaintop (where they are surrounded by the walkers) so obviously they all head to that spot....conveniently it turns out to be a trap set by the Night King. But the lord of light sent the vision no?

Was Dario second sons or golden company?
As if he was golden comoany then they are already Danys men, and will step up in her side.

I don't recall which he was in the tv show.
Tyrion might have already bought them.
The pay you double resounds

The impression I get from ASOIAF is that while magic exists, ultimately nobody truly understands how/why, so while you have all these religions and belief systems that claim to be harnassing it in the name of their particular god(s) but ultimately they're just assuming that it must be because their god exists rather than them just tapping into some sort of wellspring. Also the 3ER equivalent (Bloodraven) in the book does seem to be a massive influencer in Planetos working through magic/warging so there's clues that things which seem apparently divine are actually his work.

He had to put up with it previously when she agreed to marry Hizdahr. Think he must begrudgingly know by now that he's only ever going to be a 'mistress'.

Good episode, again! Was quite exciting to see all the actors and actresses together. Not sure the extent to which Cersei's plans are scuppered with Theon's uprising?

Edit - over a year before the next season!!!
