When it leads to iffy pr0n scene between family members, that's right, I don't like it that much anymore.
So it's not because it's a poor storyline, it's simply that you can't handle a sex scene between two people who are related.
Two people who don't even know they're related.
It makes perfect sense. Look how many terrible plot holes the whole R+L=J lead us into. But I also never quite understood this dire need of legitimising Jons ancestry with Targaryen blood line. They were terrible rulers. They were feared only because of their ruthlessness, madness and zoo of legendary creatures which, as everything in their ancestry, they urinated away and drove to extinction. In the end literally the entire Westeros stood up to them. So why would we, the viewers, want Jon to be (yet another) Aegon Targaryen, legitimate or otherwise?
They were always terrible rulers, or was it the mad king that was a terrible ruler and caused the rebellion?
Why would you tar Jon with that same brush simply because he's from that bloodline? Has he not done enough over the past 7 seasons to convince you that he's nothing like that?
To save his life from the Lannisters of course. The entire Lannister claim to throne was constructed on switching sides to rebellion at the last minute (literally, Jamie was mad King's guard to the last day) and then opening legs to drunken and mourning Baratheon. That would be irrelevant if Robert already had a heir.
But they preferred long predicted fan fiction where Jon ended up in bed with his aunt. Please the kids it did - as we can see above - many an internaut fapped to that, but I kind of lost my appetite - I've no one to cheer for in GoT S08. All of these humans are tainted and terrible. I kind of want Night King to just end the story cycle.
The Lanisters didn't have a claim to the throne. They married their daughter to the guy the guy that claimed the throne.
Anyway, with the current story, it was about saving Jon from Robert.
In your preferred fantasy version, it's about saving him from the Lannisters.
What are these massive plot holes you speak of, and what makes you think there wouldn't be any if Robert was his father?
R+L=J and Jon hooking up with Dany has been set up from the beginning by GRRM. It's not something that has been invented by the showrunners to please fans.
It's been long predicted because it was always obvious, and once again, it comes back to you not liking the unwitting incest story that you've convinced yourself is purely down to fan service.
You have no one to cheer for? Ok, that's your problem.
Other people do, but I guess they're wrong.
The show and books have always made the point that nobody is perfect and untainted and that most people are horrible *****.
Oh, there is plenty of **** to complain about. Season seven was written by couple of 10 year olds.
Yeah, it's not perfect and not every one of your issues with the current season is unfounded. However, I think you're trying way too hard with a lot of your complaints.
