I would just go with the SATA version of the SSD. The M.2 version is the same speed but it looks a bit ugly with the blue pcb (Although it might be hidden by the gpu).

Thing is the case and screen will last longer then all of it followed by the board and PCI, if his daughter gets hooked the GPU will be out by next spring haha
