Heh, that seems well expensive.

Upfront:
42mm Sport £429 + (18x5) = £519 (No contract, can cancel any time. Also 6 months free?)
42mm SS sport £599 + (18x5) = £689

Contract:
42mm Sport £29 + (25x24) = £629 (+£110) (Locked in for 24 months, you still need a separate EE contract)
42mm SS sport £159 + (25X24) = £759 (+£70)

Granted the SS has much less markup but still more expensive.

The apple watch SS 42MM is 649...so to me that's not a bad deal for 24months of 4G.

I've just had to reorder as my original order, made using the iphone app and paid for using Apple pay kept getting decline.
I phoned my bank and according to them they have had quite a high number of customers phoning them for similar issues, they think Apple has an issue just now.
I've had to make the order again using the web page and manually entering my card details, this has bee accept this time.
So if you are having issues, it might be the same thing?

so its £5 a month for 10gb with EE or unlimited if you get watch from them. I cant see me using 10gb a month on the odd occasion im without my phone.

Has anyone's status of the order moved from "preparing to ship" to anything other. Apple took the money out of my account on Sunday so I assume we have some action

Only thing that's changed is that I can see the transaction has moved from pending to an actual amount. The status is still stuck on 'Preparing for Dispatch' too.

The money went out of my account within minutes of my transaction using Apple Pay on my iPhone. Status still says Preparing to Dispatch.

I've ordered many Apple products for delivery on launch day and they've always arrived on time.

I wasn't going to buy one so didn't bother pre-ordering on the day but my girlfriend wants a fitness watch now so she's having my old one and I just ordered one at Argos for delivery on the day.

Series 0 (original) don't measure resting heart rate which is another reason I ordered as I'm big in to stats at the moment with my fitness improving (and I suffer with health anxiety :p). Daft that it doesn't though as surely the algorithm to calculate that just uses heart measurements across the day, which all series watches do. Strange

Now that I realise you can sign up to the cellular on the watch itself, I may swing toward that.

Will probably never use it, but it's there if I need it! Is there a way to turn off the LTE chip when it's not in use / required?

It's been a year since I did it, what's the exact procedure for disconnecting the old watch from the phone and connecting the new one, preserving the exact same setup?

Some of the Argos prices are bonkers. The stainless steel cellular models had some colour configs at £350

I managed to reserve another 42mm cellular for £369 so I’ll pick that one up instead of the one I ordered yesterday
