It is exactly the same size, the extra bricks are the interior sections and extra detailing on the exterior
Although I did have 2 missing pieces (so far) - luckily they weren't structurally important so I could carry on with the build while I await replacementsThe newer falcon has more defined details - they did the same with the UCS Snowspeeder. Added more details, model is same size, just more refined. I like both versions of the UCS falcon
Just building the newer BB8 model. Loving the Technic elements. Really cool model, and quite a good part count. Will look nice next to R2 D2.

That's actually a Lepin kitNeed the Porsche GTR![]()

Yeah really good isn't it!
I am surprised at the scale. I had expected it to be bigger.
Insert some joke about it being too short, and cumming in that thing....
No no. It's huge. It's too wide to fit through the doors in my house!

It’s absolutely massive. To do the comparison pics, I had to carry the old one (which is the same size as the new one) from that empty shelf at the back, nearly knocking over the AT-AT in the process, it wants to fall over just looking at it, hitting it with a giant Falcon was a brown trouser moment, through 3 doorways while twisting the model through 45 degrees (which isn’t as easy as it sounds as you can only support it from the bottom), up the stairs and through another doorway into my office/Lego build room. It was a fairly stressful ordeal.
Now I have 2 of them to bring back downstairs, I haven’t mustered up the courage to do that yet.
