***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

I've almost finished building my Falcon as well (just got the final stage to go)... really enjoyed building it :D Although I did have 2 missing pieces (so far) - luckily they weren't structurally important so I could carry on with the build while I await replacements

The newer falcon has more defined details - they did the same with the UCS Snowspeeder. Added more details, model is same size, just more refined. I like both versions of the UCS falcon

Just building the newer BB8 model. Loving the Technic elements. Really cool model, and quite a good part count. Will look nice next to R2 D2.

How come theres been such a shortage of the Saturn 5? (sorry if been answered already)

Parents wanted to know what i wanted for birthday this year, and that's the only thing that sprung to mind initally! Is it just a case of supply and demand?

The old fishing store looks like a really cool set, has anyone got it?

Yeah really good isn't it!

Bit more tidying in the loft and another couple of shelves put up, going to need a few more so will probably slap some plaster board up on the adjacent pillars and mount some there.

Nice photos bipolar, when I saw the top down gif of the changes I preferred the new model, side by side there is a lot I prefer on the old model, especially the cockpit. I prefer the top of the old model too, but I prefer the extra side details on the new one.

Just got my son the Lego ninjago minifig set from eBay, can't be bothered with all that standing in Tesco feeling packets. Not a fan of the to series but I do like that they put limited figures on magazines and have done this limited set. I wish they would do the same for Star Wars or marvel.

Nice collection GSXRMovistar - The Lepin kits (MOCS) etc are a good alternative if you want something that is now discontinued or not made by Lego etc. I like the wall hanging idea.

I'm trying to organise my collection into a new display glass shelving unit I just got from IKEA. Its taking me a little while, as most of my models have been boxed up for sometime. I've got UCS kits that are in boxes that I'm now trying to rebuild. So taking time. I did finish the BB8 model last night.

Got a UCS display plate and sticker for it as well. I think it looks better then the one TLG supplied.

I am surprised at the scale. I had expected it to be bigger.
Insert some joke about it being too short, and cumming in that thing....

No no. It's huge. It's too wide to fit through the doors in my house!

It’s absolutely massive. To do the comparison pics, I had to carry the old one (which is the same size as the new one) from that empty shelf at the back, nearly knocking over the AT-AT in the process, it wants to fall over just looking at it, hitting it with a giant Falcon was a brown trouser moment, through 3 doorways while twisting the model through 45 degrees (which isn’t as easy as it sounds as you can only support it from the bottom), up the stairs and through another doorway into my office/Lego build room. It was a fairly stressful ordeal.

Now I have 2 of them to bring back downstairs, I haven’t mustered up the courage to do that yet.

Please can you email me your home adress, when you will be out and where you hide the spare keys. Thank you

I don't like the racking when you have spent that much on lego but even if I didn't change it I'd Led light each level to show those glorious sets off. I need to find a better way to dust my son's collection. It's a right pita on open shelves.
