*** Sky TV Cancellation & Negotiation Thread ***

Thanx Jez, 60% off and £75 credit. Just what Im after, the wife will be happy.

On Chat now and I get this

'm checking your account and this offer does not show in the records. However, I can offer you the 60% discount on the TV packages for 12 months - but we do not have the bill credit to offer. So if you want to know the costs of the TV packages with the 60% discount, please let me know.
The offers there are for people who have actually ceased their service. Once your service is off, you can purchase any offers in there by just clicking through and it re-activates your card. No need to chat to them :)

just spoke with Sky over the chat. They could offer 10% off for Sky Q or 40% off my current package. I asked for the cancellation to go through... Now for the waiting game...

This is what is showing and they have said even on chat its not an offer.

Weird, mine has always just been a big table of offers where you can click through. That screen looks as if they think that there is a pending order for you, it is saying thanks for coming back to sky and to chat to check the progress of your request?

My offers page (unfortunately the offers available to me appear to be garbage at the moment) has always looked like this, you can click right through. This is on an account which is totally cleared down though with nothing active at all.

Well eventually I have bitten the bullet with a just 4 days left but my service finished. Did not get the 60% discount I have had for the last 12 months, could only get 50% off, a rolling contract with £25 credit meaning I have Sky+HD with everything for £40 per month. I tried to get a deal with sky q but that did not work out. Seems to make sense to add it for just £12 per month in a few weeks time.

I wonder if there's a pattern of people being offered no more than 10% less than thier previous deal. I'm definitely seeing that.

Got a call yesterday from sky, told him straight off ill only sign if the deal is good, he said we will do a good deal, price was £45 for sports, f1, boxsets , i said no. Was paying £30 with 60% off.

Just come off the phone with sky and got this deal. I was only six months into an 18 month contract and had to resign another full 18 month contract.

Full Boxsets: 9
Sky Sports Complete: 20 (was paying 27.50 but they have a new offer on)
Sky Cinema: 8.50
Sky Sports HD: Free
HD Basic: Free
SkyQ Multiscreen: 12

Total: £49.50 which is approx 47% discount

Maybe not the best deal out there, but I am heavily discounted on the phone and broadband which makes it worthwhile for me.

My sky line rental, fibre max 80mb and call package is £30 which all together is the best part of £80 a month!! eek

I have 60% off coming to an end this month, last week I got a letter with them saying they will extend my offer for another 12 months with no contract..... Happy with that!

£42 a month for Complete package, Sky Q & multiroom.

2 days off 1 month being without sky and not 1 phone call or letter or email. I have checked and Im on the mailing list.

Guess they dont want my money any more.

Hi, no letter, no email, no phone call, loyal customer since 1989 and never had a discount offer, cancelled 31 days ago and now with Virgin, same package but £45 cheaper, much faster broadband and 12 month contracts.

The thing is, it doesn't pay to be loyal, all you have to do once a year is tell them you want to leave, then accept an offer you are happy with. I have never paid more than what I pay now for the complete package and multiroom.

My concern with this is that, correct me if I'm wrong, your deal will be for 12 months but the added Sky Q contract will be for 18 months. This means you'll be tied into Sky for 6 months at full price. I'd do this myself if I could, but don't think it's possible to get an 18 month deal with Sky+HD!
