Proper family wagon
Had anything done to it?
Love the Forester STi
Want to bring it to the rolling road day?![]()
It's not a family wagon, i'll rarely use the rear seats

I'd been looking for something a little more practical for a while & did consider a Legacy Spec B or a WRX wagon, but had to go for the Forester in the end. I think I read it only weighs 70kg more than the equivalent Impreza! It's surprising just how much of the platform is shared.
My one has a few nice extras - the winter pack so heated wiper park area & mirrors, & lost of Subaru dealer-fit bits - stainless boot sill trim/LED mirrors/wind deflectors etc.
I want to give it a full service & attend to any minor issues. The cambelt was done recently & the coolant looks very clean but i've no records of any other fluid services so will be doing the lot. From a brief look it appears the underseal may need attention too - it was done by the importer (Torque GT) but I can see some exposed blue paint in the wheel well.
The audio also needs sorting as it still has the OEM radio. I may retrofit cruise control too, either OEM if possible or an aftermarket.
This is my first Subaru - i'm not up to speed on all the model quirks yet but reading about it sounds like detonation is a frequent killer of pistons/head gaskets in the 2.5L engine, so one of the first things i'll likely do is a low volume water/meth injection system & an equal length header just to keep the cylinders balanced & the engine det-free.
I know I know - Sacrilege to lose the burble in the pursuit of optimisation!
