I did it blind with another guy (PS4) and an experienced team. We did it in about 90mins, with all chests. Only wiped twice - maybe 3 times.
It's not that complicated but communication is key.
Right guns help too.
 
I've read that the engrams you get given by the various contacts on each planet will scale with your current level. If this is the case is it best, once reaching level 20, to not collect these engrams until the really high light levels?

I believe in D2, they are locked to the level you were when you picked them up - however, you don;t need your best gear equipped to raise it as it checks your inventory/vault too... so decrypt away.

Yes they do, better explanation here. Also remember it's your base power level (i.e. no legendary mods) but if your not 20 yet i doubt it affects you.

As above said. They are locked when you pick them up. At least the ones from out in the wild are. Ones from rep vendors and/ or completing milestones scale with your level aslong as you don't open them at the vendor if that makes sense?

I.e. If you completed weekly crucible quest and need to go to Shaxx to hand in, aslong as you dont select the engram, if you go back with a higher light level the engram would have increased.

Luminous engrams are the ones that scale up. Also bear in mind doing the Mida tool mission, they also scale up with your level, the later you pick up the gun the higher level they drop.
 
So I guess a valid tactic is to not collect your rep vendor engrams and just build up collecting their rep tokens, then when you hit a really high light level collect your engram and hand in your tokens for more engrams, rinse and repeat until your tokens are all used, at the same time? Or have I completely misunderstood this

I'm up for it but I'm only 273 or something like that at the moment, got mic etc. Would love to try, I used to play D1 a lot doing all the raids HM etc back in the day :)
