PS4 Pro on a 4k HDR TV... everyone's experiences!

Well today i setup the 43" LG UJ750 and i have to say i am very impressed with it so far ill be honest i was expecting it to have some issues after reading comments on previous lg lcd tvs but i can find anything obvious at the moment. i cant see any banding or yellow tint just a little blb in the bottom right corner but its only slight.

First thing i tested was my pc with forza 7 in HDR and even though brightness is only around 500 nits on this tv i was very impressed with how well it did and i can certainly see the difference with HDR enabled.

Windows desktop does look poor though with HDR enabled but for games it seems to function properly and so i just disable HDR for desktop use until microsoft can fix it/ improve it.

I have only had chance to test my ps4 pro with uncharted 4 and it looks lovely and colours are really what stand out to me after using a TN monitor for the last few years i really have missed IPS for this.

Input lag on this model according to display specifications website is 28ms in game mode i recently discovered and it feels more than fast enough for my needs.

More testing needs to be done but for the £480 i paid i am rather chuffed.

That's great, let me know if any updates. I'll purchase one once I sell my current TV

I work for the co op i got it through there electrical website i am a member so i get a bit of a discount and used the code BB30;)
I've just joined as a member haha. So how's the TV for general viewing, not pro. Colours and vibrancy on certain shows for e.g blue planet 2 if you've started that :p

Colours are good it is after all an IPS panel so they look very vibrant :) Not had a chance to see blue planet 2 yet but i do have planet earth 2 on 4K uhd and it looks amazing i dont think you will be disappointed for the price its a great tv.

My main use for it will be gaming though and it seems very responsive in game mode with HDR enabled.

HDR does make a big difference on my Hisense 65” M7000 TV, colours are much more lifelike. Only issue on the hisense sets in introduces too much latency . I’ve never felt or noticed input lag before but definitely noticed it on the hisense to a degree some games I turn it off where it impacts to much like fps games. So consider that when thinking of purchasing a hisense set, brilliant aside from that though.

Woo ok, well the blue planet 2 looks incredible on our 1080p cheap Samsung TV. Cant imagine how much my mind will be blown on this LG! Does ps4 pro take/work with bluray dvds work?

I have been given an LG 49UH850V. Less than a year old.

Last time I brought a TV was 2009 so I am really out of touch. Im led to believe it has HDR - can any of you knowledgable folk comment if this tv has proper or fake HDR and whether its just any good for a PS4 pro? The 3d films are pretty cool!

Hoping to upgrade to a pro in a couple of months simply for financial reasons. I have tons of ps4 titles and if I go 1X i would have to rebuy an entire library.

Yeah but the X has released a year later.

I don't see what difference that makes, they chose to rush it out with minimal upgrades in terms of hardware and features. The X1X backwards compatibility is a big bonus for me as I think I only owned a 360 for about 1 month, and didn't buy the XB1 either.

Not sure, I guess the price of components drop, but I do think the Pro could have waited, seen as PS4 was doing so well anyway. I suppose it was to compete with Xbox S at the time.

Yes I do regret getting sucked in by the hype. Not saying it's bad but compared to what it could have been then yes I was a bit let down. Cest la vie

I don't regret buying the Pro, been happy with it and some games such as HZD and Lost Legacy look amazing, getting the X as well so will have both, can only see the Pro getting used for exclusives from now on, but there is some great ones coming out next year.

Proper HDR as HDR10 + Dolby Vision although its over a year old model wise. http://www.lg.com/uk/tvs/lg-49UH850V

I just hope they get it right next time and have a decent Ryzen APU locking every game to 4K60. This has to be the last generation for 30fps gaming.

In the market for a new gaming TV. Still cannot justify OLED and a PS4 Pro as an upgrade of say 2k for a 55inch plus the pro, vs just buying a big 55 inch HD TV and sticking with the ps4 for say 900.

I'm off to the shops to see what a ps4 pro looks like in 4k in real life...
