*** Nintendo Switch ***

Nah, wouldn't waste my time doing that as i'll inevitably be able to play the emulated versions on PC at some point. Probably at 4/8K too.
I don't really understand why you post here. Aside from the fact it's a public forum so obviously welcome as much as anyone. You clearly don't think the Switch is worth the money and openly post about how you'll wait until the games are emulated and then gloat about how it will be in a better resolution.

Well good for you! You'll be able to crack on with that in probably about a decade and by then we'll have all already enjoyed the console and it's games AND continued onto the Switch successor.

But hey, you'll get to play them in a better resolution for less money. So who gets the last laugh eh?

Yeah, I don't get behavior like that.

Even as someone who is mainly a PC gamer, I have to admit this year the two best games I have played are on the Switch (Mario Odyssey & Zelda). Sod waiting until god knows when for a bug free version to be available on the PC :p

HANDS-ON with OJO PROJECTOR for NINTENDO SWITCH (feat. AJ Styles & Tyler Breeze) - Expansion Pack

Austin Creed's obsession with the Nintendo Switch hits a boiling point as he gets up close and personal with a new third-party accessory, the Ojo - a projector made specifically for the Switch! The projector has a 4-hour battery and built-in speaker for large-scale gaming anywhere!

Maybe. If Nintendo released a Switch TV version, where it doesn't have the handheld functionality and comes bundled with a controller (Joy-Con or Pro) and a game for £180 or below, then maybe i'd buy it.

Can't see that happening. Less than 20% of users use it primarily on TV mode, but more than 30% use it primarily in handheld mode.

Something to note is that those numbers were based on a 80% usage threshold in either mode.

i.e.
20% spend 80% or more playtime in docked
30% spend 80% or more playtime in portable

So with a 51% threshold it's probably something like 65% portable and 35% docked, at a guesstimate.

Regardless the data does show the hybrid nature of Switch is not just a gimmick - I think that was clear from the start. At the same time perhaps they'll look to do something to attract more of those gamers who prefer to game at home, I can't see it happening any time soon though.

Picking one of these up for when travelling. Does it actually have any on-board storage?

Got Bomberman and Mario Kart.

Basically thing to play in portable mode in 2 player with the joycons for the Missus and I

Yes it has 32GB internal storage.

Buy Snipperclips and Overcooked.

Cheers for that I'll take a look. I'll pick up Mario and Zelda as well.

Based on what I've heard Zelda is a no brainer

Mario and Zelda are pegged for number 1 and 2 for game of the year, so they are both must haves!

A more relaxed coop puzzler that I really enjoyed is death squared.

Zelda is the better game by quite a way I reckon. Mario is a brilliant game in its own right but Zelda is just amazing.
