Got a little bored of the C63 and wanted something a bit more ‘special’ again. Lo and behold the Maserati Granturismo it has 55k on the clock. It is epic, sounds epic just is epic. Yea it’s not as quick / savage as the C63 but it’s glorious in every other single way and sounds INSANE compared.

Congrats looks awesome!! Year / spec ?

It’s on my list of possible future purchases because it has 4 seats but wife wants an extension / new kitchen. Hmmm.

Would love to hear the sound, can never get bored of listening to it

Ambersil penetrating oil. Great stuff.

Bathe the buggers in it! :D
Yeah did just that on Thursday night and lowered it on Friday but one rear coil is hitting the drive shaft and it's not even close to silly low. Grrrr.. seems like a lot of guys experience that and their solution is to let the drive shaft grind down the collar. Haha, no thanks.

It’s a 2008. First drive to work in it this morning I think my neighbours now hate me after 8am cold start.

Has a Larini exhaust and I can only describe the sound as pure sex

I know the feeling. My neighbour has an R8 V10 plus and an SLS AMG GT. The R8 is so ridiculously loud i cant really describe it. It normally wakes my 2 year old son in the mornings. But i dont really mind it :)

If anything is said I’ll say it makes up for your dog barking like mad at 11pm most nights

Stunning. I’ve done about 5000km in a Grancabrio and it’s probably the best car I’ve ever driven. Only thing I couldn’t get on with was the infotainment which felt like it was out of a 2002 Vauxhall Omega, but I could forgive it that when everything else was so fantastic. That noise....

^^ You are mental moving from there to Mexico :D

You’re not the first person who’s said that :p

It’s the most fun I’ve ever had, and I feel incredibly lucky to have had that experience. However, it’s just not remotely sustainable: no job security, 70 hour weeks in the summer, on call in the winter 7 days per week, unable to go far from the house, etc etc.

The main advantage of the job, for me at least, was that I was able to drive the cars as I wanted. I’ve always liked driving fast, and I was aware that if I spent years doing the same thing, one day I’d probably have issues with the police or similar. I saw several colleagues come and go because they were less careful than me. There’s no fun in driving a Ferrari at 90kph on a beautiful, wide mountain road, or at 130kph on a flat, straight autoroute, and very little fun for my customers either.

No other job I could have done around there would have paid me remotely the same salary, so without that I couldn’t have stayed and enjoyed the same quality of life. The door’s always open for me if I want to come back - I got on well with my boss and ended up running the activity, so he was very sad to see me go.

I’m very happy where I am now, but never say never ;)

Absolutely fantastic! Not the quickest or most nimble, but so beautiful and the engine noise is incredible.

/goes off to google prices of Maseratis

I probably shouldn’t be asking strangers for more photos of their willy online!
Haha here's a few more from when we picked it up a few years ago... It's done any 500 miles since lol

Bonus points if you know who this chap signing the car is. My wife told him about her car and he insisted walking half a mile as he was so keen to see it!

Love the Clio Williams!
Thanks buddy, this is my second one... Kinda. My wife owned it before we met and has had it some time, then we decided to get it restored.
