Large amounts of snow likely to cause disruptions to transport, power and services is most definitely news worthy.

Certainly more news than gossip mag style celebrity stories or the same 'what if' brexit scenarios republished for the 3rd time. Would you prefer a story about a panda being born?

I like snow but these cold fronts can be particularly nasty. Seeing the statistics on how many people are thought to die as a result of the cold due to being older/homeless is absolutely tragic.

Very deep here in Gloucestershire and still snowing. Had no power since 9am either lol.
You wonder why power outages in something as simple as snow still exist. It baffles me

Glad i live near coast it keeps it a slight bit warmer and snow doesn't always hit us as hard

We just had a tractor come to clear our cul-de-sac road - it's on a step hill and 4 roads in from the main road, so we are stuck going no where otherwise.
