PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

Test server, has performance and graphics suddenly both gone amazing? It looks sharp as a blade, with high fps.

The latest patch changed the anti aliasing system. It looks better now, the previous implementation was done incorrectly so everything looked blurry the higher you had your AA setting.

As for fps the new map is much better optimized (plus no foliage etc) and they've made the old map better on the test server somehow as well. That in combination with fewer overall players on the test server means the test server is performing very well atm. I hope it stays like this when it goes live. The only issue is the rubberbanding but that has gotten a lot better since the last patch as well. Never lasts for more than 2 minutes at the start now, even in high density drop areas.

The fix to AA is brilliant - I now get in excess of 100 fps even on the old map, never understood in general peoples comments about server load of test vs live. Aren't they all hosted on AWS? They always have 90+ players on, if the test instances are a different size (assuming EC2) or have lower player concurrency overall that's a simple fix for them to address given their profit margins. AWS has regions in Ireland and London, so hopefully latency to Frankfurt and associated player induced latency can also be addressed with a UK instance.

I 100% of the time get more lag on test. I don't know if it is because it is located somewhere else, the traffic/data isn't prioritized or maybe they are running debug code or something.

Yup terrible rubber banding for the first few minutes of each game on test. It does run better after that though.

Easiest way for me to tell is if the plane flying over the map rubber-bands. Does that all the time for me on test, never on Live.

Ya the RNG aspect of the game gets very frustrating. Had a 9 sweet kills great game going, down to last circle 1v1, full health, maxed boosters, fresh lvl 2 armor, guy near insta-kills me as he stands up with two rounds from a freaking Tommy gun.

I don't play this game, but I do enjoy watching it being played on Twitch. Unfortuntely my favourite streamer is no more for the time being though. :( It seems Dr. DisRespect has disrespected his wife.

Shroud is the best PUGB streamer, just watch him, he had one donation last night of $30,000, think i counted about $90,000 from his top donators, amazing, who can afford a donation like that.

'The two-time' unfortunately had another meaning.

Lol indeed!

I watched Doc for the entertainment though more than anything. Shroud, whilst obviously a great player, is just boring to me.
