Dubious things video gaming has taught me.....

I guess you didn't fully romance PeeBee in MA Andromeda. Full on:

Oh really? Good to know! I've currently playing through Andromeda just now actually and have been working on Peebee (and every other female character for that matter). I haven't been presented with an opportunity to fully make relations with anyone so far and hadn't decided whether to ultimately go with Survi or Peebee. Think I'll favour a bit of blue action now that you have me intrigued... :D

When the cabin crew on our holiday flight announce both pilots have expired from food poisoning, stand up raise my hand and announce, "Guess it's up to me, then."

A tactical nuclear explosion is a minor battlefield inconvenience.

The human body should have no issues accelerating from 0 to 30 x light speed in around 30 seconds.

They should put me in charge of Newcastle United.

I'm thinking of having an F9 button fitted to my wrist so if I do something stupid I know I can press it and time travel to do it again correctly

People can disguise themselves as anything - TF2 prop hunt
Hitting things with a spanner will fix it - TF2
Grabbin peels is an appropriate response to everything. It must also be said as often as possible. - L4D
Sometimes when you want to jump over something, you may accidentally dry hump it a few times first. - Battlefield
Bananas are actually highly explosive - Worms
The best way to kill bugs is to shoot them - Fallout/Borderlands
The only way to kill rats is to shoot them - Theme hospital
The best way to solve a traffic jam is to shoot the cars in front of you. - GTA
Only certain materials are affected by mavity, sand and gravel for example. - Minecraft

Water is a very strange thing - sometimes it kills instantly (GTA3), sometimes I can survive longer than a world-class free diver (Wolfenstein, Just Cause 3), sometimes I can hold my breath for ever (Mario), and sometimes I drown but can stave off drowning by repeatedly pulling out bullets and sticks or bending back broken fingers that the water causes (Far Cry 2)!

more far cry 2:
church towers are the perfect place to spark a turf war in a town with a delicate cease fire because nobody but you can climb ladders
the ak47's reputation for reliability is utterly false, unless it's painted gold
having a grenade launcher is never a bad idea
my friends magically know what i'm doing when i'm talking to someone (because they ring me instantly after accepting a mission)

On my way to where I play football there is a metal cage with gas canisters inside. Every time I cycle past them, the thought pops into my head: if I were to shoot them, would they explode? I don’t even have a gun.

Playing the Witcher 3 now - just met this lass in skellige, she was so impressed with my swordplay, it was back to her place for some mead. One thing led to another and we ended up making sweet love. It was beautiful -until I finished, got up, robbed her bedside locker and looted her bookshelf on the way out! What am I like!? The ***** Witcher :)

Only if they're red :D.

maybe not dubious, but just given metro another crack and realised what i didn't the first time- dead bodies have ammo in pouches as well as their dropped guns.

yes i'm an idiot, but i'm an idiot with a rail gun and 570 rounds for his smg (as opposed to about 10 the first time i played)

ok, so a couple from metro:
when opening a locker, in complete darkness, surrounded by heavily armed hostile troops, and you find an accordion, of course the only obvious thing to do is play a tune!
night vision=game breaking (well, tbf that's not really that dubious)
glow in the dark knives are invisible to enemies somehow
