yeah they are ok. I did look at swapping the mondeo for a focus st or lolvo c30 t5 before i got the mazda. They just weren't jdm enough. The volvo feels light, but numb and the brakes are pretty poor. the st is heavy but the pedals and steering is much nicer and of course its way more practical.

because you can put a drain pipe and a wrx and sti bits on it and pretend you are in the reel deel while cruzin round maccy d's drive through and revving in the car park.

Based on using a datalog taken while my Dad's STI was on Ti Motorsports Dyno I'd personally say g/s / 0.9 is closer.
Trouble is a couple of degrees difference in igniton advance will significantly alter power output but won't change how much airflow is actually going through an engine

2005 DCCD Widetrack WRX STI which has PPP.
currently on PPP ecu, will probably put the one from the WR1 in
it has some yellow speed coil overs, Cobra sport exhaust and a 2007 wrx boot lid with a prodrive spoiler
Also what oil should i put in it? I have not managed to own a subaru long enough to need to change the oil yet XD
i normally just drive 3 miles to work and back in the week and saturdays, but then i will be going to santa pod and track days later this year. I guess if i go on a track day i should put something thicker in just for that day/weekend?

Oil (my personal preference) to 340bhp use 5 or 10w40 fully synth if you do road/fast road driving. Consider going to a 50 weight if you do a lot of track days or considering increasing power to around 390-400bhp. Genuine Subaru black oil filters are good filters.
I run 5w40 and reach 110 degress around Curborough which is relatively short bursts of acceleration. I wouldn't want to go much higher on a 40 weight personally, but then anything thicker and the oil won't reach optimum operating temperature during normal use. A mate runs 10w60 with almost 400bhp and his oil sits around 84 degrees after a back road blast. IMO, that's a tad too cold.

I sometimes wonder if it's worth the time, effort and expense to put it back on the road after being sat for almost 4 years now,
But when it's been sat for 8 or 9 months and after connecting a battery it fires up and purrs, it would seem a shame to give up on the old girl.
