The anime thread sequel (it's still not as good as the Manga though),

I've just finished watching "Napping Princess" which was thoroughly enjoyable, and reminded me a bit of "Summar Wars" for the story, and "The Girl who leapt through time" for the visuals (with some mech that remind me of Eva).
I didn't really know much about it when I took a gamble on Alltheanime's pre-order price but I'm really glad I did as it's had me sat watching it for the last couple of hours (I should really have gone back to bed though:D).

Talking of alltheanime they've got more pre-order offers up, both parts of "Snow White with the red hair" and "Yona of the Dawn" are £17 each, as is the full sets of "Kiss him not me" and "Brother's conflict", whilst "Ouran High School Host Club - Blu-ray Ltd edition" is £25.
I'm tempted by Snow White, but I've spent too much on anime recently and have a model show coming up.

I can’t get into it...
I think it took me about 4 or 5 episodes to really get into that one, then I really enjoyed it, I think I ended up going back and watching the first 3 after about episode 4 (I did something similar with Baccano the first time I watched that).

Same here, Napping Princess was an unknown gamble which turned out to be an enjoyable watch. Not feeling the love for those pre-order offers but can't really afford them at the moment as I droped ~£180 on a JPOP concert boxset at the end of last month and have up to three more concerts at ~£60 a go for the BDs coming up in the next few weeks (JPOP concert prices make Anime seem cheap!)

Congratulations to Eiko Kadono, (author of Kiki's Delivery Service) who has won the 2018 Hans Christian Anderson Award.

Saw Mary and the Witch's Flower.
Even ignoring the pre featurette you could certainly feel this was Ghibli in heritage and homage. Some of the visuals and.designs seems almost direct lifts. Very nice music too.

There's a few trailers which make it look like they used a lot of CGI instead of drawn animation for the really simple bits, I'm not sure whether it was just a weird trailer though.
Still, looking forward to it immensely

Good, my copy of the Japanese BD is currently somewhere in the post. If I remember correctly at least on of the pieces of music used is Rain by Sekai no Owari who are a favourite of mine.

edit. Good looks like Anime Limited are saying they have licensed season 4 of FMP.

Yes, Rain is used on the ending if I remember correctly :)

Also, I understand first episode of FMP Season 4 aired or airs today in Japan...finally :D
Now where's more Spice and Wolf...

I need to find a new anime to watch, not many good ones lately
What sort of things do you like, and have you gone back through some of the older stuff?

I keep finding older titles that I enjoy which is both handy and annoying as I can't keep up with new releases let alone stuff I heard about years ago but didn't manage to watch at the time.

I've barely managed to watch any of the last few seasons new titles (I've managed to only fall behind by about 3 episodes on The Ancient Magus Bride but that's the only one I kept up with!).

Went to go see it, they messed up the resolution so single line subs couldn't be seen, gave up after 15 minutes and got a refund, will watch at home instead. Silly Vue.

also on the anime limited news front. Anime Limited have acquired streaming and home video rights to "full metal panic invisible victory". :)

*starts enthusiastically humming the A team FMP theme with the occassional fumofuu thrown in for luck*

That's really good news, it'll be an instant buy for me given how much I've enjoyed the other FMP series, although not totally surprising given they've got the rights for the rest of it :)

After being good with ATA's other offer this week I ordered Sword Art Online S2 earlier :(
I'm a bad wolfy.

I would have order the sword art online season 2 off anime limited but I had already bought all the collector edition of SAO II blu-ray off anime limited as they released them, I too will pre-order FMP IV once it available to do so.

Ordered as soon as I got the email from them :)

Just finishing trigun tonight, did some one mention a new steins gate?
