**** The Official Huawei P20 Thread ****

My Wife's phone envy got the better of her. Me winding her up asking if the battery on her S6 had died again probably didn't help.

Another P20 Pro ordered.:D

Wow, the battery on this thing! Took it to a mate's house over the weekend, so two train journeys listening to Spotify, repeated checking of footie scores, reading the morning news, occasional use of the camera, and I arrived back home the following afternoon with it still on 62%. This far surpasses the battery performance of any smartphone I've owned before. Really impressive.

Anyone received their headphones yet?

Also had the shipped email and text this morning, I gave them a call and they gave me the tracking info, being delivered by Parcel Force 24hr.

Excellent.

Hopefully mine is in the next batch. To be honest, I was expecting them to take the best part of their "within 30 days" fulfillment time.

Can anyone confirm if the P20 (non Pro) comes with dual sim from Three on contract? A bit obscure and a stretch but I am getting mixed information online.

Received my headphones today, 1 day after getting the email notification telling me they'd been dispatched.

Not bad after you returned the phone! :p

I got mine today too but it went to the in laws house. Going straight to ebay/MM!

Has anyone tried a glass screen protector yet? Seems to be quite a few out now, but not a lot of information about on which ones are worth buying.

The stock plastic one on my phone is quite scratched already after just over two weeks, so time to get a replacement.

I haven't got my phone yet but I read quite a few Amazon reviews and it seems many peal up at the edges which probably suggests the glass on the phone might not be flat. I had that issue on my Lenovo P2.

I really like this phone overall for so many reasons - the camera is really superb (even I'm still a bit lost in all the options and settings), the battery is absolutely phenomenal, I really like EMUI compared to the Touchwiz on my old SGS5, fingerprint and face unlock are uncannily fast, and the whole system is snappy and responsive.

BUT... they are a couple of annoying issues to do with connectivity that are marring the experience a bit:

1. It keeps dropping off my home wifi connection and then being unable to reconnect (I get "denied access" status reports in the wireless settings, it randomly needs the password inputing again, or it just plain seems to give up on even trying to reconnect even when I tell it to). The only solution is to disable and re-enable wifi, but I feel I shouldn't have to do this and it means I need to be vigilant as to when I'm using my mobile data needlessly at home (I have a 16GB allowance so this isn't a huge concern, but it could be over a whole month).

2. When on mobile data it will occasionally just stop loading webpages. The progress bar gets to about a fifth of the screen width and then stops. This happens even when I know there's good mobile data connection - sometimes it will still show 4G+ and sometimes it will have dropped to showing E even though there is a 4G connection available (in these cases, restarting the phone gets it back to 4G again).

Has anyone else come across these issues? Neither are common (the second has only happened twice to me so far), but both will become quite annoying over time.
