Nvidia CEO says next gaming GPUs won't come for "a long time"

A competitor dropping the price of an EVGA 1080ti might be a hint of new things on the horizon. Dont think prices have moved on them for ages.

Aye £650 for full fat card with a game is getting there. I keep hovering over the buy button but I would rather get the 1180.
Does step up generally work ok, do you get like for like or will I potentially end up with a "blower" gpu.
The price could be a 1 off tho. A month or so I was also hovering over an inno3D X2 for £630 and sadly that was not the start of a price crash

yep, I will keep waiting, either for 1080ti to fall to an irresistable price, or the 1180 to arrive. bit annoying with pcie4 around the corner, part of me keeps thinking this is what's causing the delay. That would be a mega announcement. Something I don't think nvidia would like AMD beating them to, and AMD new cards are going to be well timed for that if thy are next year.

Are current cards even saturating PCIE 3? I have not looked into it in a while but unless one is going multi GPU, then PCIE4 won’t be a big deal for a long time.

PCI3 is not being saturated now so its unlikely PCI4 is going to matter for a gen of cards or two eps with multi gpu being dead now

Its typical CRAP some links article from 15 YEARS ago.
And people are lie is it TRUE photos articles ect.

Does not matter if its Colours Drivers cooling packing failure rate ect.
It's like this odour dragging after them companies they just cant wash off.

Well I do,otherwise it would be a waste of time editing any pictures, let alone printing them. I used to have a colorimeter for my last display - current one is not too bad out of the box(apparently its pre-calibrated),but I should get around to tweaking once I get another colorimeter.

I bought one and then immediately fried it as I'd wired up my USB header the wrong way round.

Waste of £70 that was!

I have ColorMunki Display. Does a great job calibrating my monitor. Well worth it. It is only about £100 and it will last from monitor to monitor. Even if I had to get a new one for my next monitor as this may not work on a OLED I could probably sell it for £60-£70 :)

I like my image quality so worth it for me anyway.
