It's too hot :(

Only a mild 24 degrees here, been absolutely roasting the past few days.

Still, could be worse, I have a friend who's currently working out in Japan. It has been 39/40 every day for the past week  He can't wait to come home on Wednesday!

My holiday to north cyprus a few years ago will take some beating where it got to near 60c now thats hot. If you dare venture out you would leave foot prints on the road and your feet would start to burn as the heat transferred through your shoes.

Here though its how humid it is that hurts me, the heat doesnt really bother me all that much.

It definitely wasn't 60C. Considering the highest ever recorded on earth is 56.7C and Cyprus all time record is 45.6C

I never said anything about official readings. Doesn't make it any less true.

Yeah obviously actual properly recorded temperatures are one thing - my sister has had a couple of holidays in Cyprus when the temperatures in the shade were reading well up in the 50s.

Indeed i swore i would never go back that time of year. I find June much better now, but i hope next year its cooler, its 40+ there right now.

Just shows outside official recordings temperatures go much higher.
"Recently in Iran the mercury has hit 74C - close to the highest ever recorded of 81C in Saudi Arabia in 2003 - along with fierce sandstorms."

81c i dont even dare imagine how that would feel i bet you would cook.

Anyway back to the topic, after having been in 57c i will never complain about heat. Sleeping is the only time its an issue.

Any recommendations for an AC unit guys? I'm fed up of this heat and I'm after something that I can cool my room down with. Ideally one with an external hose to vent out the window.
