DVI finally gone and now it has USB-C connector.

Ohh, Gigabyte... Recognise those fans. Look the same as the ones on my RX580. One of which stopped working after a month.

Returned it for repair and when I got it back a month later, the same fan stopped working the same day.

I don't think they even tried to fix it. Sent them a video, claimed they couldn't get it to play. Obviously never heard of VLC. Garbage customer support imo.

No one that can say, knows. Nvidia are announcing stuff on Monday, hopefully we'll know more then.

I don't think they'll be holding them back judging by the number of pictures of cards and boxes that have appeared.

So who on the green side has the best support? EVGA?

Is MSI any better for support?

Thankfully I've never had to return any cards, because the only one that stopped working was entirely my own stupidity

Guys think about it.... when the 1080 launched it was 20 months since the 980 had launched which was the longest ever it had then been 10 months later the 1080 Ti launched, it's now been 28 months ( by time these launch) that the 1080 had launched which is close to the time frame for the 1080 and then the Ti launching so it wouldn't surprise me if both cards launched together with the same generational performance I.e 2080 30% faster than 1080 Ti and 2080 Ti being around 70% faster than 1080 Ti...

I'm sure you are well aware that RX480 - 580 wasn't a new generation, rather a simple respin. You could argue that Pascal was just a respin too but Nvidia would say otherwise, hence the larger improvement over the previous cards.

25% used to be achievable in new gen cards but it's becoming more difficult the smaller the node. AMD are also falling way behind due to being extremely cash strapped and picking their fights very carefully.

AMD might make a comeback but I can't see it happening soon unless people see AMD products as a viable alternative, if not a better one in some cases. They need the income, badly.

Yeah. That is why I switched to Nvidia and G-Sync as I feel AMD will not be competitive in the 4K space for quite a few years yet, maybe even longer. I hope I am wrong however, we need competition. Happy to see Intel enter the market, hopefully they put a lot more money behind it this time.

If someone goes to the website will find that everything in relation to that article is photoshopped
The pixel scaling is clearly different between the bulk of the images and the details like the green ribbons with "ray tracing" and "RTX.
Same applies to the above image, which the plate is taken from the MSI GTX 1080Ti Gaming X with the USB C socket. The other pictures are from the Aorus Xtreme.
