Looks like a few people have put their 1080Ti cards up on eBay already, glad i got rid of mine months ago :p i might actually keep my 980Ti around so i can sell off my next card and have a spare just before 7nm ones.

People buy expensive and ultra fast sports cars whilst the max legal road limit on UK roads are 70mph...

Why and whats the point of a 144hz 4k monitor if the rtx 2080 cant utilise it i hear you say?

Well you could also say what's the point in a Ferrari when the max legal speed limit is 70, but at the end of the day i think many of us would want one even if it can't be easily fully utilised.

Plus, the monitor has future proofing and a bit of bragging rights.

So what’s people’s view of what the new NV Link connector will mean for gamers? Is this the rebirth of SLI outside of the enthusiast segment (where lots of tweaking is necessary to maximise performance) or will we start to see better scaling in AAA titles and enough power to drive 4K at max settings at anywhere near 100fps?

So much for it being fake then, a grand in dollars!.. they better not be anywhere near that in pounds.

Add 20% VAT, transportation costs, bit price gouging and £1100+ easily.

And the likes of Asus etc £1300 could be possible...

What I do not get is the rush to get out the Ti right now.

Surely nothing to do with this

as AMD said numerous times this is workstation only and doubt there is stock for mass market, after signing millions worth of contract with Tesla to supply them with it

I guess one difference would be that the GPU will not be able to break the rules, but people who own Ferrari's will definitely not be going 70mph.

Actually i wouldn't be surprised if some Ti come in at below a grand, probably paying a premium for Asus and other cards.. when another cheaper one with a similar cooler would be just as good.
