I think if you have the money, are a true Pc Gamer, have supported Nvidia all these years, then its your duty to buy this card. Those of us still on the fence need to see just what the fuss is about. Interesting that VR and Mining barely gets a mention anywhere?.

I think if your a true pc gamer you should boycot Nvidia. They are slowly wiping out PC gaming and pushing people on to consoles.

You don't happen to write for toms hardware by any chance do you? :p

What Nvidia are doing is no less than going to watch a movie where its all a bit vague. No pre-screeners are given to reviewers...and the movie bombs. But then we're only talking a few £, not £1000+. That's a lot of £ to place on blind faith.

1080ti?

My gut tells me the 2080 will the shortest gpu in history . The Ti coming at the same time speaks volumes

Well kind of wanted to see what the performance of the 2070 is but I'm guessing that card will probably be around £500... ouch! This current 970 I have is the longest I have had a card for and it looks like I will have to wait another 6 months before getting another.

I agree, I simply found it quite amusing when you said that if you're a "true" pc gamer it was my duty to buy an RTX card lol

if you got 4 minutes in you'd realise the "marketing guy" has about 40-50 patents to his name

Shame - it got my attention and they blew it then with that intro. I was only in it for the casual browse anyway. I'll wait for the benchmarks to come out and see where these new cards sit

Got about 1 minute in when the Nvidia guy is introduced as some marketing guy..... gave up at that point. Want to see real world data now not how many gigilo rays something has got

Got about 1 minute in and thought this guy knows his sh...stuff. This guys clearly very smart and been living graphics processing with a real desire to bring more AI power in to it - very much worth listening to what he has to say if only to get a feel for why it’s there.

He’s and engineer, he even says it 5 secs after ‘technical marketing’.

1440p 40-50 fps seems to be possible with the ray tracing on in BFV according to digital foundry. They couldn't get over 30fps in 4k but it did run on a 2080ti. I just feel like as a 4k gamer with a bunch of 4k monitors and tvs in the house I'll be unable to play games with the new effects at 60fps natively and the 1080ti pretty much will still run all of those same RTX games without the effects at 60fps in 4k so what to do..............guess I just can't upgrade.

Well..........I can upgrade my cooling so I've ordered a hybrid cooler for my 1080ti.

I'm actually going to make my own on an rx480 for something to do. I already have all the stuff from when I used to watercool the whole PC.

Currently theres a home made 2x 120mm fan cooler on it. Far better than the stock one and almost silent, but it's not enough to keep it in the 60s during the 30c+ days. TBH manufacturers should start using big fans instead of the little, super loud ones :D

Yup, had his hands in many things, like Gsync and GPU boost ashe says. Gave me more insight.

''With a pinch of salt'', were all having fun with this Blind Date. I truly want the cards to be awesome....after all, it could be my next card.
