Road Cycling

It will fit most petite women as that was Rapha's target market with said jerzeey. The lads girlfriend/sister/daughter will be delighted with his acquisition.

:D

Stealing is disgusting. Did you check if it was handed in or if CCTV on the exit to see who may have left in the time window you were away from the changing room? If you find out who it is then I absolutely believe Saudia Arabia style justice for stealing is justified for said cretin.

I reported it to the staff but I don't think they will go full CSI on it. I know they were trying to be positive when suggesting it was mistakenly picked up and could be returned but really, who accidentally picks up a £100+ cycling jersey.

Normally I put my clothes in my bag and the one time I don't I get burnt!

Some mofo stole my Rapha PT aero jersey last night from my climbing gym changing room. It's XS and race fit so wouldn't fit 99% of people!
Damn annoying/shocking it would happen there as I'd imagine a climbing gym doesn't exactly have hundreds of guys passing through every night! Then again, also the possibility of a higher proportion of XS wearers at a climbing gym! :(

Yup, hate to say it but that's the way the UK is going these days, no honesty and everyone is out for themselves, screw other people and the consequences! We see enough of that out on the roads. :(

At least the quantities of an XS race fit jersey like that are quite small, you might spot someone out riding in it! Most dishonest cretins would need an XXL.

There was 2 lads stood out not too far away from me at the ToB. One with a Pinarello F10 and the other with a Tarmac. Had flat pedals fitted. Beer bellies sticking out. One was in sandals and casual clothes, the other in baggy DHB/Altura clothes wearing an MTB helmet. The one without a helmet had a man bun. Both looked dodgy and when others where asking the F10 guy how it rode he looked shifty and they moved away. Wish there was an easy way to check how hot bikes where! One of the few benefits a numberplate would bring is easy trace-ability.

If you've got a stolen bike, surely you dont take it to the ToB where there's going to be hundreds of people around who all know a lot about bikes? Other than that, the description checks out as a typical Pinarello owner.

I cycled down into Ulm city centre in trainers, basketball shorts, an oily t-shirt, no helmet, one large DMR flat pedal and one SPD-SL pedal on my road bike after setting it up for a post-flight test. Didn't get any dodgy looks but I bet I would have done in London :D

Not really. Any semi-intelligent thief would change the plates within minutes.
We think bike thieves are intelligent now? :o

Was just pointing out that we need moer than frame numbers for tracing bikes, hardly anyone documents them, so there's no way to trace them once they leave distributors. :(

a few years back the police had my then-girlfriend's stolen-recovered car in the impound yard for over a year because they wrote the registration down wrong.
Although funny that hardly surprised me. Which is a shame! :(

Totally agree, was surprised to see them there when so obviously so many other bike enthusiasts around. Could just be they where anti-social but they really did stick out. There was a back road behind where we stood and some of the other guys stood near where having a little hill climb competition up there so we joined in, until some very lost cars started coming down as satnav's had diverted them that way from another road closure...

Haha, surprising nobody donated some pedals to you thinking you where some kinda cycling hobo.:D:D

Damn kids cycling 'accessories' are expensive. Just to fit the chariot better to my thru axle (current is a trainer axle but coming loose due to stress/vibration) it's looking like a £60 axle is needed. GAH

Well my Orbea Orca M20 Team Disc has arrived! I'll get pics up later as I'm out today.

So far I have added:
Candy 7 Pedals - I am pretty comfortable with them as I always ran them on my MTB.
Sidi Dragon mtb shoes - They seem more than stiff enough for road use and I can walk in them without looking odd
Kask Mojito - fits very well

Bike weights 7.9kg with pedals so pretty good.

On top of that I also have a pile of Castelli and Kalf bib shorts, tops etc. I have ended up with a Gore wind stopper that is a little figure hugging. I'll keep it as motivation to drop 5 kg :D

I am now that guy who has all the gear and no idea, having spent my life on mountain bikes lol.

To do - tubeless conversion. Will get to that next week as it will be a commuting bike, about 12 miles each way so if I can avoid punctures it would be nice.

Revolve24 @ Brands Hatch next weekend, actually looking forward to it more than I expected given I don't like the cold, not particularly fond of riding at night and I'm precious about my sleep :p

Anyone else there over the weekend or taking part in the 24, 12 or 6?

I will be attempting to commute home the 430 odd miles on my tourer from Edinburgh to Chesham at the weekend, hopefully the weather will hold to avoid much misery.

Pinched my last spare inner tube over the weekend when i was changing the burst one  More tubes on order so I should hopefully be back out cycling by midweek! :(

Nice one, @BennyC
See you there!

No caffeine for 3-4days before then hold off for as long as you can during the race. 1 cup of coffee will keep you up all night after that!

I don't want to be awake all night :D I was last year for the 25 hour red bull time laps... just couldn't fall asleep and it was rough the next day. Walking zombie.

That's one heck of a commute - are you planning to use hotels/B&Bs or Audax it and sleep in bus shelters?

got one of those trendy wide rims (Kinlin XR22RT, catchy name) on the back of my work bike now. I'm converted. Without wanting to sound like one of the motors section internet driving heros, back end grip is off the chart.

So I've entered the Rothesay APR and my mate just told me to look at the start sheet.
Couple of names there that stand out...

It'll be good to say you've raced against them but it's nothing for you to worry about IMO. The scratch group will be so far back based on reputations and they might just leave it up to the strong guys to do all the work rather than the whole group helping.

...or they might ride it properly and come past so fast that you actually get blown off the road :p
