I think what he is trying to say is that at the end of the day it's still a Golf. For this kind of money you're into premium territory e.g. Audi, Mercs, BMWs.

If I was buying a Golf I'd want to spend significantly less. The one I was looking at was £22k. I bought a fully loaded Audi A4 Avant that was 8 months old and 4k miles for £31k direct from Audi.

I'd be looking at an S4 in your position. I would take it for a drive and get over who else drives it. There's a reason it's popular.

Perhaps you ought to deal with it like an adult, all I said was that it seems as if you've already made your mind up, if you don't like that comment then tough, in my opinion I feel as if you are just looking for confirmation as the other suggestions that are on par with a Golf you've poo pooed immediately, with the very specific spec you listed there is only the Golf R that ticks every box other models have somethings not in you spec list so straight away they don't meet your criteria.
