Yeh, at least Intel don't overprice their product and stagnate progress.
Missed the point totally

I can observe what people do with their own money, I don't have to respect it.
Off course you have to respect what people do with their own money, you don't have to agree but you can not dictate what they do.
And if it does end up killing PC gaming so be it.
For PC gaming to survive the industry need to offer software and hardware products that people want to buy at the right price points, it is not for the likes of me or anyone else to dictate to others what they should be.
So what you are saying is people have no right to spend their money how they wish.
You don't have to agree with how people spend their money but you should respect the fact they can spend it how they wish.
Respect what? Why does there have to be feelings? One can read or glance by things in person and have no view/feelings and just nod, nice. Then there are those that choose to read into things that aren't there to justify an argument or nitpick it to create an argument. Which seems to happen regularly on this forum and many others. What is that about?
All at the same time as they try to get under each others skin. As the term "fanboys" "apologists" "cultists" gets thrown about.
This isn't directed towards you personally.

Yay, semantics.
You can respect a persons right to make their own choices without respecting the actual choice they make. The two are not mutually exclusive.
I respect your right to choose how to live. But if you're a complete **** then you don't get my respect for choosing to live that way.
Edit: so i respect people's right to choose what to buy. But i don't need to agree with and respect your purchasing decisions. The two things are not the same.

I think I worded it a bit better than you in the first place.
Semantics.![]()

Peoples right to spend their money how they wish.
I also think the Dons should close this thread and the speculation thread as they are both past their sell by date as the cards are available and people are just using them to get under each others skins as you point out above.
Pretty much, even some of the other threads aren't going too well lately.

Yeah it's the fallout form the worst GPU launch in history. Expect people to react. Not everyone will buy blindly.
We have the worst priced GPU's ever, biggest leap in pricing in any gen. Along with least performance improvements and 2 years after GTX 1*** series.
No games that support RTX available.
It's a terrible launch in every single way. Obviously people will have opinions, and rightly so.

I think this thread is valid. In fact more valid than the pointless role of honour thread. Eight people have posted their 2080.
It’s clear that the 2080 series is a flop. 2080 still in stock everywhere... And negative opinion is just as valid as positive opinion.
This thread would be valid if people stuck to the facts and refrained from making digs at anyone who bought the cards.
I agree that people can buy what they want. But they shouldn’t feel targeted if someone says something negative about the 2080 series.

Hear, hear!I hope Intel really shake up the gfx card sector very soon

Why? Is there something wrong with that statement? Please God this is a joke right?
