OcUK Nvidia RTX series review thread

sim racing games really show the difference in frame rates, especially if like me, you play on triple monitors where the sense of speed thru the side monitors really shows the biggest difference in fluidity between 80-140fps,sure you can play with vsync on but then you can see the input lag with the onscreen wheel.

They're definitely the most frustrating when they don't feel smooth. I have it at times with my gtx 1070 on 1440p ultrawide.

that's my gripe greg, immersion is awesome..resolution not so good.
Fair shout. I am a big ED player and space isn't too bad for the res of the rift but certain things stand out and pixels get noticed quite a lot. 4k per eye should do it and a 2080Ti to power it will be enough...... Hopefully :D

Two 4K screens at 90FPS average, that will need more than a single 2080Ti.

MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Gaming X Trio 11 GB and GeForce RTX 2080 Gaming X Trio 8 GB Graphics Cards Review

https://wccftech.com/review/msi-geforce-rtx-2080-ti-and-rtx-2080-gaming-x-trio-review/

Impressed with RTX 2080 power consumption used less power than GTX 1080 Ti.

Rubbish review

The MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Gaming X Trio makes all other cards look puny in sheer performance numbers. It offers a massive uplift to game performance. We are talking over 50% leap when the card is overclocked over the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.

The 1080ti can be clocked too...

I think you are just trying to steer your self away from the 2080Ti. You know you want it. I expect a response of "too expensive/Nvidia ripping us off/mugs/etc" which will just reinforce my thoughts on you getting a 2080Ti :P

I’ve been around long enough. And sadly this release does not excite.

2080 same speed as 1080ti but 150 quid more expensive.

2080ti 35% increase over 1080ti for twice the cost.

It’s reviewers that cloud the water that post guff like 50% increase over 1080ti when overclocked.

It’s desperate.

Also I might add...reviewers that get send cards to review for free are so scared to protect their readership or subscribers they just don’t tell the truth. They live in fear they might become excluded from the gfx market arena.

Fact is...I struggle to see any positives about this release other than observing clouded sycophancy.

Which in itself can be quite amusing

You say that, and yet almost all the reviewers have said "Don't buy it, it's too expensive"

Or

OUR VERDICT
Whether you’re looking for a more powerful graphics card or get a jump start on Nvidia’s vision of a ray-traced future, the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti is the world’s most powerful GPU on the market.

That’s not a verdict...or opinion it’s just a statement of fact. It’s pathetic...many reviewers scoop around the actual real verdict.
