You say that, and yet almost all the reviewers have said "Don't buy it, it's too expensive"
Yet the majority of them are giving the card gold awards and highly recommended despite saying this. If they are too expensive with a minimal gain over previous generation and advising not to buy, how can they be getting gold awards and highly recommended?
There is a sub £700 RTX 2080 in stock on OcUK!![]()
And what is the reasoning for cards priced at £1100-£1150 or thereabouts jumping up to £1400 once they're in stock? This is fury X price hiking all over again only this time there's actually some stock of the TI card.
Sub 700 price...Gibbo could sell the card at 629 and still make a healthy margin.
I'm proud of people not buying this gen...stock isnt shifting in the speeds anticipated. And hey bingo we have a sub 700 2080.
Just let the bots do their work and we will see sub 700 pricing across all etailers in the coming days.
The 2080's seem to be gathering dust everywhere, the ti is what most would want but the ludicrous pricing is putting most people off. £1100 to £1400 in the span of a few hours is taking the ****. There's a few sites with stock and some anticipating delivery of them tomorrow. For some reason OCUK don't even have ETAs listed on the cards or in a lot of cases, clock speeds.
It's a really farsical launch that's just gouging left and right, I could afford one of the cards but **** paying £300 or so over the odds.
I'd love to see sales numbers for this gen. There's no way they're shifting anywhere near as many as 10 series was at launch. Most people have been priced out of the market.
If 2080 levels of performance was what you were striving for the 1080 Ti has been out for the last 18 months. Certainly not worth the wait. Glad I got my STRIX when I did. No chance I'm forking over £1400 to upgrade.
And anyone sensible who already owns a 1080 Ti won't want to pay 2x it's price for 30% more performance or the ability to eventually play ray traced enhanced games at 1080/60.
Pretty much telling people to sit out this RTX generation.
Read a few times now that the 2080 Ti is bottlenecked by an 8700K @1440P. THat's pretty good going if true.....need better CPU;s nowWell, they're ignoring the previous generations of cards...

Are there any reviews of the reference 2080 ti yet? Be interested to know what the delta is between founders and reference

You mean the Nvidia one? Loads! Check out Gamers Nexus, that's a good one.

Thanks I mean cards that run at the 2080 ti stock clocks. Nv founders edition is already factory OCed as far as i am aware. Just wondering what these b grade chips are performing like and OC headroom
