its an odd one, never had an issue, until i took my xbox to a different adress for a week. did the same i had to switch it on twice. now back home, comes on first time as usual... both instances plugged directly to the wall. maybe an electrical thing with the property? im no expertNot really impressed with my purchase so far due to the controller issues. If I use instant on then the controller will not start the console, if I press the power button on the console instead it actually then turns it off(because it's in standby). The only way to stop the problems is to power down completely every time meaning no background updates or suspending any running games. Not what I expected from a cutting edge console it must be said.
Its part of the pack in the current Microsoft promotion, you get F7/FH4 codes rest are physical.Check the link. No mention of f7. Think it's a Currys **** up though as image shows it!

You don't need XBL Gold for cloud saving. Your saves should be there already.
Should they? That would be a huge relief. I thought you needed gold for that feature.
Na, ic1 speaks the truth

- Do I need an Xbox Live Gold subscription to use cloud storage?
No. Anyone who is signed up for the Xbox Live service can store their saved games in the cloud.

Anything in particular to look for if ordering a 4K screen with the X, in terms of compatability etc?
I wasnt going for the price of OLED, another reason is the sizes seem to be all rather BIG, was looking about 50" at best.
55" is a nice size for 4K.With BF shortly wait for those deals and the retailers to try and beat each other.I wasnt going for the price of OLED, another reason is the sizes seem to be all rather BIG, was looking about 50" at best.
HDR is essential. Also HDMI 2.0 spec ports as you need that for @ 4K with HDR as it requires 18Gbps bandwidth which means HDMI 2.0 spec or newer I believe. Also make sure you buy a HDMI 2.0 spec cable to connect it to the screen! HDMI 1.4 will not pass HDR @ 4K. You can spend about £2K for a 50-55" OLED or save £1K & just get a non OLED. I would look at LG first they do some great sets. Try to avoid the budget brand sets as the HDR is weak. At 8-9FT you really need a jumbo screen size though 65-70" which would cost you a lot of money nowadays!Anything in particular to look for if ordering a 4K screen with the X, in terms of compatability etc?

no surge protector used, although in the property it needed turning on twice, a surge protector is plugged into adjacent socket as a double one? interestingBoth of you using surge protector?
