What film did you watch last night?

A Quiet Place - really interesting dynamics throughout. Very different to everything out there.

I thought it was incredibly well written, didn't leave any horrendous questions throughout (often answering them as I'm thinking them), and excellent acting.

9/10 for me.
Superb film MrRockliffe, brilliant atmosphere and well done.

Valerian and the city of a thousand planets , Luc Besson weirdness , unlike the 5th Element which i sometimes re-watch if its ever on TV , would not bother re-watching this.
Looks good though 6/10.

Profondo Rosso (Deep Red)

Excellent. Really liked the soundtrack - a mix of jazz and synths which was a bit different for a horror! I need to watch the extended version at some point.

8/10

The Incredibles 2 - 6/10 - While not a good as the first film this is still a fun film, only let down slightly by a poor ending which wraps everything up within 5 minutes when it feels like it could have done with at least triple that to really feel less rushed.

Wonder - a heartfelt story of a young boy with a facial disfigurement starting school and the associated highs and lows. It was a good watch with quite a few tugs at the heart. 4/5

I watched wonder on a plane. Wife was very confused when she looked up from her movie to see me a complete blubbering mess. :D

Eddie the Eagle - 8/10 Hilarious!

22 July (The Paul Greengrass one) - 6.5/10 It was good in it's own right, but July 22 (The Norwegian film) though a totally different type of film, was much better

21 - 6/10 It was ok, run of the mill movie.

Operation Red Sea - 7/10

Mainly for the amount of non-stop action packed in the long running time (see previous posts).

Don't watch if you don't like sub-titles or hammy asian acting which is common for that audience demographic.
