Yeh, the whole droid thing was just ridiculous. Lando is a womaniser in empire strikes back, but here they have him as a droid loving weirdo. A damned annoying feminist bot too. Ugh.

Watched it on Prime because I like Brett Goldstein (recommend his podcast, and look out for him in next week's Doctor Who).

Really enjoyed the music, Bradley Cooper can certainly sing and "Lady GaGa" can really act. Nice role reversal.

But a good sequel is a pretty rare thing. And a sequel better than the original is almost nonexistent.

Arguments for terminator 2 and Aliens also (although I preferred the more atmospheric originals)...
The Monster Squad - nearly Halloween so visited this blast from the past. It is certainly a product of its time and very 80's in all aspects. Overall though, maybe it was best left in the 80's! 3/5

Great film this, I suspect would have been even better if I had seen it in 4DX because the launch sequences would have lent themselves immensely to it.
Focuses more on the people and family side of it and the stress and strains it put everyone under.

Agreed. Loved it as a kid but can't get on with it at all now. It's cool and interesting but hasn't held up in the slightest.
