LG 34GK950G, 3440x1440, G-Sync, 120Hz

Please hurry up. I need to pre-order by tomorrow in order to qualify for extra air miles on my credit card!!!

Now on the site, can't link it as site is updating but if you browse the G-SYNC section you will fine it !

The FREESYNC version with 1ms, 144Hz and HDR is now also on pre-order.

Both models exclusive at OcUK, no other reseller shall have these. :)

Hi gents. New to the site. Been following for quite some time. Funny enough i live in South Africa, a 3rd world country. We have this monitor in stock since a week ago. I couldn't believe my eyes. Anyway i ordered the 34gk950G one immediately. Should arrive tomorrow or Thursday. I almost gave up on my search for a 34inch Gsync 3440x1440 monitor. The only one we had here in SA was the Asus ROG PG348Q, but i really don't want to pay R21700 ($1532) for a screen that is 3 years plus old. Especially don't like the idea of a 60hz native refresh rate being overclocked so far. Heard about lots of people having issues.

I then planned on buying the Alienware AW3418DW from Amazon, but to get it here would cost me 2000$ including shipping plus if something is wrong with the display i am screwed. To my surprise just as i was about to give up on my dream of getting one of these monitors the LG shows up on one of our local sites.

Great !!! Thanks for that . Eny discount for forum members lol ?

How is an EVGA 1080Ti FTW3 going to drive this screen ? Well ?

I know 4K screens are very demanding, hence the need to drop from Ultra settings to High, to get usable frame rates, but this isn't a 4K screen, so is it going to be kinder on a 1080TI (and thus allow ULTRA settings with still a great framerate ?)
I've never used a 34" curved, so I have no idea what to expect. (My last screen was a 10 year old Dell 3008wfp. Currently using a 24" Acer LCD whilst I hunt for a new screen).
Thanking you in advance

Thank you and well done OcUK! True to my word I have pre-ordered. Any idea of approx ETD?

That was the case for the last G-SYNC LG we did as LG could never supply enough to meet our demand.
I guess it comes down to if they can supply enough to outweigh our demand, for now I've ordered everything to prevent anyone else getting a look in. :)

Only 30? No chance of taking a wait-and-see approach and then getting one of these, then!

Surprised there're that few being shipped.

LG always ship small amounts to the UK, no idea why and if its that case in other regions too, I guess it is as most of LG's manufacturing effort probably goes towards their TV's and supplying OEM's being an actual panel manufacturer.

In terms of pixels it's just under 5 million compared to just over 4 on your Dell, so not that great a change. You should be more concerned about what you regard as a 'great' framerate.

There is eny way to add extra warrianty on that monitor ?

Yup, I checked and you're spot on with the maths (4,096,000 compared to 4,953,600) so I doubt I'll notice much extra, although I am hoping that the 10 year leap in tech will be noticeable.

I suppose "great" is very subjective. I'd like to achieve smooth performance gameplay wise in things like Farcry 5. Am I right when I say that I believe that 60Hz on some 4K monitors would cap out my 1080ti to 60fps after turning down Ultra to High, something like the LG34GK950G which runs 120Hx, would let me game at Ultra on 60fps + ?
