Those 7nm vegas are good pro cards.

Thng is AMD cant make vega Cheap enough to be gamer attractive product. HBM adds sooo much cost.

No rock bud lol. I didn't see the stream, so hoped there was some info for gamers in there but seems not. Regardless of what is in my machine, I still love some tech news for my fun times :)

all we will see is new polaris replacement in 2019 with performance around 1080 thats about it.

Amazon now offers AMD EPYC CPUs, there is no Vega offering. You might want to start thinking before posting.

Can't disagree with you because I have no idea what AMD is cooking and am sure you also don't. I can however provide what I think will happen.
2019 - navi new polaris, followed by a Vega refresh on 7nm
If you think amd is only going to use 7nm for server GPUs I believe you be very mistaken.

The Vega announcement yesterday is a dead giveaway that amd is focusing on that line up for the highend.

How fast can they achieve from a die shrink I again have no idea.

There won't be a 7nm Vega gaming card because that's what Navi is for. Navi is replacing Vega as the gaming architecure, and replacing Polaris as the midrange product; Polaris 30 will still exist, but it will be classified as the entry-level product. Of course there is scope for a gaming card based on Vega 20, but I doubt it would be any good. There's also talk of a "Big" Navi 20 which might be the 2019/202 Instinct card, or might be the big gaming card.

But we have Arcturus coming in 2020 which is where AMD will start looking at getting back into the high-end gaming cards.

Nah not at all, just the first ever showing of a 7nm CPU and first ever 7nm GPU.

Oh and AMD didn't deem it worthy enough to actually do an official live stream, we only got to watch it at all because of one tech site had a camera set up and streamed it, complete with heads in the way and loud clicking from everyone around him typing.:D:p:D

Do You think AMD would be able to sell 7nm vega at 800 pounds with 2080 performance ??

2080 performance is 1080 Ti performance and I wouldn't want to pay £800 for 1080 Ti performance. Which is why there never will be a 7nm Vega gaming card. This is why Navi exists (or will do).

Nope. 400 is generally my moral limit for a GPU, I did go 50 quid higher for vega64 at launch and even then i felt uneasy doing so. Anything higher is a mugs game.

Vega 7nm will onyl be used for servers and HPC.

Navi will be 7nm but most sources indicate it will be a mid-range part. That liekly puts it at 1080 performance, maybe slightly more.

RTX6000 $6300 active cooling workstation card
MI60 ~ $1500 passive cooling datacenter card.

It is a fair point. Looking at the flops, 7nm should be better than 12nm surely and big business isn't going to quibble over prices like that for time and efficiency I expect (not that I really know what big businesses do) :)

We do not have any proof of this at all. its all speculation atm. We have Polaris and VEGA now why wouldn't we have a Navi replaces Polaris and a VEGA refresh on 7nm?

Again I have no idea what speed 7nm VEGA can do so I also have no idea what price they will be.
