Show Us Your Motors!

15k is 987 Boxster S territory. The S2000 is indefinitely the one you buy with your heart and even though 987 Boxster S is better on paper. There is a lot more to owning a car than stats. Plus you will not lose a penny on the S2000.

Whilst it is a great looking example of an S2000, I don’t think any car is depreciation proof at this point in time. Especially modified ones. But I doubt that’s why he bought it.

The rapid change in values of lots of cars over recent years is exactly why people should be cautious, not bowling in head first. I bought a 2004 S2000 for £4800 four years ago, it was no where near as nice as the one above but illustrates where these were. Current pricing is unlikely to climb higher.

Anyway, just enjoy and it drive it!

That's pretty much it! You can go by stats and specs and 987 would come out as a better car but s2000 for me personally is the better car. Any boxster leaves me cold for some reason.

My MX-5 on the other hand got a little feature in fast car!

that s2000 is lovely Grudas, welcome to the s2000 club.

really need to send my steering wheel off and get him to retrim mine, looks a lot better.

what made you want 04-06 rather than the later models?

Thanks! Yeah it was done at royal :) was retrimmed and reshaped.

I wanted the facelift headlights/taillights and interior touches but didn't want the higher tax band. So 04-06 made the most sense.

Blimey, Z4 to a MX5 now to an S2000, My choice was always between a S2000 or a Z4 and obviously my Z4 came up first, Though if I knew how prices were going to be I would have stuck it out for an S2K since they were reasonably priced 4-5 years ago when i was looking.

What's it like compared to your old 3.0si? I love the effortless power in my 3.0i keep it in 5th-6th and it'll pull nicely in traffic, I can't imagine the S2k would be as easy to live with, though that 9k redline would always keep me coming back for more.

Looks gorgeous btw

@grudas Said it before, but that looks great. Is it as tidy inside and under the bonnet as it is outside? If you ever decide to sell, add me to the list of potential buyers:D

Picked up my new car earlier in the week

Range Rover Velar R-Dynamic HSE
240bhp 4-cylinder Diesel
Air suspension
Fixed pano roof & Meridian 825W system
Went with the Oyster interior as I don’t like the coal bunker black and has Windsor leather 20-way heated, cooled and massage seats.

I like the Velar but when I was considering getting one there were absolutely no deals about and once you start adding extras the price rockets.
