Crazy Tesco Car Park Incident

The crowd backed off once they had the door open and assumed he would stop at that point, it was nowhere near a 'lynching'. The driver then decided to smash through everything.

I can't believe people are defending the driver, in an apparently stolen hire car, who is likely going to use it on a crime spree.
I said twice in my post that I'm not talking about this video, your ignorance of the details of my post is a great example of why we shouldn't let joe public dish out mob punishments willy nilly. People don't care about the details. "What's that Dave, he punched that old lady in the face?" "No mate I think he was helping her up.." "No I saw it mate, let's get him!"

Wow, you seem pretty angry for Christmas day. I think I'll leave this one alone. :D

just noticed the guy at the end in the white hoodie clutching one of those tiny rollers for painting down the back of radiators :D

edit - maybe not...but it looked like a roller, from the right angle

Because that justice system clearly deters people

It's not all about deterrence. It's about removing people from society that are a threat to other people.

Some people, like sex offenders who get 7 years and serve 3 for the rape of two women, then go on to commit arson and murder a 17 year old girl he groomed on the internet was wholly avoidable by giving the guy 2x life sentences for the initial rapes.

And by life I mean 25 years.

On the whole our justice system is pretty decent. Clearly there are outliers but then we, the general public, dont see the full picture.

This incident is one of the most bizarre I have seen, wish we had the full story here!

It's really not

Almost 200 criminals each with at least 50 previous convictions avoided jail for latest offences

Our analysis, compiled after a Freedom of Information request, revealed a non-custodial sentence was given to an offender convicted of sexual offences other than rape, despite the person having 14 previous convictions for sexual offences and 192 previous convictions in total.

One offender with 26 previous convictions for drug offences was also given a non-custodial sentence for further drug offences.

All that because he stole some booze. Just let them go and take the reg for the police. No point in risking life and damage to property over.

Nope, not because he stole some booze but because he ran two people down.

So running 2 people down was totally unprovoked? I thought he ran them down trying to flee from the mob trying to stop him with the stolen booze.

My only comments on the video are Mr Breaker Bar should be ashamed of himself, should have put the drivers window through followed up with several to the drivers face and removed the keys from the ignition. No one fully knows what the intention of the car driver was at the time and an appropriately armed grown man could have ended it quite easily, they even had the door open at one point...

The way I read it;

Couple steal booze
Try to make a quick getaway
Run over 2 people
Mob forms
Video starts
Trolley bashing ensues
Car smashes its way out
Video stops

Its the woman in the passenger seat I feel really bad for. You can see she's absolutely terrified through the whole thing.

I think she;s trying to cover her face so she cant be identified, I doubt this is her first rodeo, good people dont get up one day and say "right lets get a hire car with fake ID and then go out robbing"
