Apex Legends BR

Some dodginess going on, plus rando teammates can do some really dopey things. Not sure if I have the patience for this quite honestly.

Only thing that has annoyed me and almost made me tempted to buy coins/whatever they are is that out of all the packs I have opened I have barely got anything for my favoured Legend. :p Its all for other toons.
I pretty much only play pathfinder - because it makes me think of chappie :D. I've got 0 unlocks for pathfinder, none, nothing, zilch. I however have unlocks for every other character.

Yes that was specific analysis of apex, this one is comparing it to other BR games.
Shocking inconsistency in the netcode i find.

Interestingly, looking through the guys youtube videos, his previous video was the one I was on about...
I think the spongey-ness of armour in this game, makes it feel worse than it actually is (imo anyway).

Worst netcode of all BR games lol

Yeah, I've seen his previous video on it too... Can't say I've ever noticed it. I noticed bad lag in Fortnite a lot before it became super popular and PUBG. It must be down to a more complete/polished client side experience I suppose.

Started playing it yesterday, on the whole enjoying it but really feeling in at the deep end with it getting my backside whooped time and time again. Really feel that compared to other that you watch after you die that I get wasted in a fraction a second yet others last much better.(and yes I have health and armour ).

I shall persevere ....

Which character are you playing mainly? What weapons are you going for? I'd put money on the cause being that both of these are suboptimal, combined with a general lack of experience with the map and movement mechanics.

Lifeline mostly so far. I think I need to learn to break of the drop a little early and find weapons better at the start. The number of times I've been dropped into a hot zone and got shot before getting a gun etc. It'll take time. It's only day 2 so far!

That being said I did punch out the previous game champ in one such situation, which was nice.

I think the art to doing well in hot drop zones is a little luck related, BUT can greatly help by landing directly in a doorway.
If you know where you're going (artillery/repulsor/etc), learn EXACTLY where some doorways are and land in/on them, so you're not running for very long before getting a weapon. If you take even 3-4 seconds longer getting a weapon that anyone else, you've already lost.

Whilst there is that, it's normally about staying as a team and catching opponents on there own slightly away from their team. Even the really decent players can struggle initially if singled out as they don't have the stack to get them out of trouble if you can 2v1 them.

How it tends to go for me, hot drop, me and an enemy have a supply crate each, I get 1 grenade, a shotgun stock and a backpack, he gets a Mastiff........

Totally agree, but getting down first whilst trying to be the first to a weapon is my main priority. Once I've got one, head to the team - hopefully they've dropped close!
