Apex Legends BR

Its pathetic to see players trying to play this solo. Just ruins the experience for two other players. Why don't they go f off and play a deathmatch game.

This just sounds like a lot of propaganda to me.
Why would you not want an option to play solos, as well as duos, 3 man squads and 4 man squads? Doesn't make sense to have less options. They already say they have plans for additional game types.
The plus side, the people who want to play solos will no longer be in your 3 man squad and fly off on their own to solo the games, that alone is a massive positive.
 
It's when you warn them of the dangers of going solo and they still ignore you that bugs me. Then they have the front to blame you for not being there when they go down. More than once I've cleaned up their mess then walked away from their Banner. After stopping to loot their gear first of course!
 
I take it you mean that 1,2,3,4 person teams would be games where everyone is under the same qty. I.e. a game of solo players, game of dual teams etc.


I dont think it'd work that well to be honest. You would still get team-pairing between players to over-run solo's etc. I think the trio setup works well and is a key part of the gameplay.

Are you saying that PUBG and Fortnite aren't squad based and that helping your team doesn't help you?
We may have played those games very differently...

I can see why, since pubg tries to steer on the side of realism (where it can) - using the ping system made it almost too easy at times and the TTK is pretty low in comparison to Apex, so was seen as being too OP (I still agree).

It works in Apex though, it works very well too, the games wouldn't be as action packed without it!

I think it's also been in Ring of Elysium for a while too.
I agree that it was OP in PUBG and think it is a bit here too.
Communicating with your team verbally was/is a skill, the ping system removes the need to communicate verbally and with it that skill.
I look forward to when a game removes the need to aim and the skill that goes along with that, cuz I suck at that!

This is why it'd be nice to have a solo mode for the people that want to play the game but don't want to play with randoms (that often drop late to a busy zone and die within seconds).
 
Played one tonight where a solo guy downed our squad twice. I could barely see him but he hit multiple headshots on all of us from distance. Was super fishy, we dropped smoke but he was still popping off shots on us as we were reviving others. Either incredible aim, or just cheats lol.

Do cheaters have more health than normal too? He seemed to take a while to die when he eventually ran out of ammo (it was right at the start of the game).

Could've just been a good player. This is definitely a game you can 1v3.

Easiest way to tell is to post a video
 
Yeah I wish I had Shadowplay running - I couldn't tell if he was just insanely good or cheats (usually if someones better than me, I put it down to cheats :p)

If legit, that was probably the best player I've come up against for sure.

Entirely depends on the 3... if they're terrible positioning/awareness, not covering each other, running in stupidly once the first person in their squad goes down then pretty easy... but if they are playing properly it's quite hard to beat 3 with 1
 
First couple of proper cheaters yesterday.

One in my team - He played Wraith and seemed to be able to place portals at will. He was literally setting up back to back portals all the time - reported him.

2nd incident was 2 teams clearly working together. Dropped Relay, our team plus 2 others, managed to down 2 enemies and then got rushed by the other 4 players. All of whom down our squad and then stood around looting the boxes between the 6 of them.

This isn't a cheater, it's just a bug in the game. You can drop unlimited portals by pressing your ultimate half way through a half jump when getting up on a small ledge. I've seen it a few times now and there's a bunch of youtube videos showing how to do it. It'll get patched out before long i'm sure.

he was doing it all on the flat ground, no jumping around or anything
 
When I say ledges, they can be done on pretty small raised grass areas. Could it not have been one of those?
If not, then perhaps he was indeed cheating!
 
Reached level 100 last night. The game is a lot of fun. Just when I was getting sick of PubG, Apex came along at the right time. However, I cannot gloss over all the issues that Respawn in my opinion are dragging their heels in fixing.

  • Servers are not great, often get games that start in slow motion.
  • Some really strange moments when I can be full tier 3 armor and go from max shield / max hp to nothing in the blink of an eye. As if there is a delay in being shot and then the server updates and every bullet hits me instantly.
  • Hitboxes once identified as unbalanced should have been fixed asap. Still waiting.
  • Multiple Legends have weak abilities while Wraith, Lifeline, Bangalore are pretty much the dream team. Some Small buffs to other legends as a hotfix while they work on a larger patch should be applied.
  • Wingman still far to powerful at almost all ranges.
  • Experienced the odd cheat here and there but looking at the evidence China is absolutely destroying South East Asia servers with their usual nonsense.
