AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

There is like one person cheerleading Intel - most people don't really care any more when it comes to Intel.

Right, most people are just plain bored with Intel, people have been looking for something new to get excited about for years because Intel have been stagnant for a decade, all the buzz is around AMD, not Intel.

I think AMD will save that for later on, it makes sense to me that they will want to create the initial hype and then wait a while to create more later on.
It could also increase overall sales volumes. People that wanted a 16 core straight away will buy a 12 core on release then a 16 core when released.

What?? But what about us gamers gaming with triple Titan RTX cards at 240p? Surely Intel is the best!!

I work with a lot of east coast US companies which really doesn't bother me, just means I schedule my meetings for the afternoon.
But last year for a while I was working with some Japanese companies and that was a ruddy nightmare.
urgh i feel your pain :D

Have a 570X board from R&D and a 6 core to plug in this weekend.

Not that I can say much of anything about it :p

Somehow with your post history i doubt that, unless they really don't know who you are in which case why the secrecy, i call BS, sorry :)

What he really means is hes a member of a website that has another member that has access to an X570 and 6 Core cpu, i know he knows a few people at Asus so im guessing thats the mobo manufacturer but other than that, i agree, total BS, why would some random who works in photography for a living get access to an X570 and 6 core before many of the established reviewers would? reason why? there is none, utter tosh BS willy waving yet again in some weird attempt to impress.... would suggest he stops coming up with such nonsense to maybe save some face.

Pre Ryzen 1000 launch Wccf put out a bunch of leaks stating that the 1800X was only running at around 2.8Ghz and that the IMC couldn't handle speeds above 2400Mhz, Silent_Scone here said he knew it was all true and put his i7 5820X PC up for a bet, the 1800X eventually launched after trying to back peddle he disappeared for months.

last I heard boards (x570) are in resellers in July - but distribution and resellers are two different things - and then the grey area of Pre-orders which i recommend anyone doing it as soon as it appears

guessing if people are keen, Asus and Gigabyte use Netherlands as EU Distribution hub from china/taiwan - sure MSI is the same - should be a way to track shipping containers if your clued up

Most big vendors ship into or have a NL hub, loads more than you have listed. ASRock, DFI, Seagate, WD, etc. however a lot of them also now have local shipping addresses for RMA's that are freight forwarded etc.

Tracking shipping containers is not going to help you, as most of these goods are air freighted in especially at launch when timing is critical. If you are talking chassis and PSU's, big bulk items, or very heavy items then they are stuck on container ships. Just as an example, the main company I do work for buy in direct from ASRock, and the MoQ isn't massive to be honest, all of it is air freighted to the door, some of the bespoke chassis that are not made in the UK, are shipped in from Taiwan, but by ships due to the cost implications on such low price and high physical volume products. OCUK will also be taking most of their stock directly from large vendors, as they make way more money, but hence why they are so sensitive to $ fluctuations as they will be invoiced in USD.

As for the date, I only know what I have been told by the purchasing team, and one of the sales guys. As you said distribution and retail availability are two different things, but normally there is no real gap once they have them unless there is an NDA or an official launch date to be adhere'd to. Second week of June seems slightly optimistic, but that's 10th June on wards which is two weeks after Computex launch/announcements. Again this was some SKU's not all, so a tiered approach like with Ryzen 1000 is more likely than not.

Looks likely that Zen 3 and second wave of Navi products will be on TSMC 6nm rather than 7nm+.

Agree. What I've heard is 2-3 weeks after Computex starts for availability. Fall back, if there are minor delays (nothing major expected), before the end of June.

Asus still looking after you then? Not a big fan, but hope you are enjoying the job with them. I'm not sure I could be bothered with mainstream retail kit, too much noise from fools.

I remember mate... i think hes been to a few overclocker events and in his fantasy world thats confirmed him as a world class overclocker, so now he lives this weird life where he posts on forums talking down his nose at people and pretending he has super secret access that no one else even has, maybe hes actually donned an alter Ego... "Overclocker Man" by day a mild mannered photographer, by night he solves crimes against PC's by overclocking mythological yet to be released hardware and solving crimes with it! Perhaps Silent Scone is the name of his arch nemesis, his nan once baked a scone, it was a bit too dry and tough and wouldnt talk back to him, and now he hates the scone and imagines it trying to take over the world!

My post history? I work for ASUS so it's not exactly surprising! Looking forward to trying out things on the memory side. Calling out misinformation has always been a pet peeve of yours hasn't it... :p

Freelance, but in order to write certain review guides it helps to have the product in hand.

lol, but lets move on, we just know we cannot trust anything he says.

possible, very slim to have one sent to UK or taken out of a vendors HQ .

AMD wouldn't give out a chip! thats 100% CPU would have to be on loan from Vendors. I have one AMD ryzen 1st gen and 2 intels that are from such few moons ago . Vendors will only release them later normally unless your testing in house .

First Gen ryzens, sent to Board vendors Very early on WHERE GOD AWEFUL! REALLY REALLY BAD! retail versions surprised board vendors! and 2 engineering samples were sent at different times.

I was never told how bad they were speed wise, just that they were bad !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope they may have the chip - as even a possible rumor could allow other vendors to release their grip a little with their affiliates

@Journey hope its True and early. Will have to find my AMD NDA from Ryzen 1*** launch, can see that dates from it being first drafted to actual release is pretty big!

Indeed I wonder often if I am reading a different thread. It's like people invent these masses of Intel malcontents just so they can post negative stuff about people who buy Intel, when in reality most here are just looking forward to seeing some benchmarks.

He cant say anything as he works for a vendor ............... As always not one person who knows can say and the rest is BS as per all these threads!!!!!!

No idea how early a sample it is, there can't be many hence why i've a 6 core. Boards look great this gen, though
