3800X or 9900K

Yeah its ok for when it launched, ok a bit too expensive and didnt push the boat out much but it was and currently is the fastest gamer chip.
But this is about whats coming, and i dont think an overclocked 8 core nuclear reactor temp skylake based 14nm buggy bit 500 odd quid bit of silicon from the worlds greatest chip maker is really a good competitor to AMDs latest.

What's with the she who must be obeyed. Why does she have to be the authoriser for such transactions?

Personally I'll make the transaction and then pretend nothing has changed in the flat, same tv, different color "I painted it"

Can't go wrong with either, I found FPS was a lot better on my 8700k vs my 1700x + 2700x accross the board, some titles this was very noticeable. It looks like the latest 3000 series have addressed this, at least in the presentation - time/benchmarks will tell.

Call me biased but even the specs of the PS5 are not even close to making me give up PC gaming.

The ps5 specs look very promising but at the end of the day you’re still stuck with it for 7+ years while the PC got a lot faster in the meantime assume you upgrade your PC often enough

True, if you're a single player kinda person i can see the appeal, but i remember all kinds of Server/connection issues while trying to gaming on a console. Im not saying that doesnt happen on the PC but its much much less.
