AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

How could you bench on DayZ reliably? Server FPS will be tied to player-counts.

I guess you could use offline mod but wouldn't that technically spin up a local server?

Same as PUBG. I remember Steve from HU saying PUBG benchmarking was difficult as might get shot at while doing it.

They removed DayZ Offline mode, not sure if its coming back either.

Though there is plenty of empty servers available.

Edit, please nobody compare DayZ to Arma, its is on a completely new game engine.

All the PUGB benchmarking I've seen has come from the training ground where the variables are kept to a minimum. Likewise that's what AMD used in their demo.

until i see actual proof of that im okay :D

as said the amd cpu benchmarked in pubg was slower. it was a 8700. not a k version. they chose a non k version for very obvious reasons.

You are still not acknowledging that it was not AMD showing the 8700 ....

They use a complete different engine, they're not remotely the same.

Please continue to spread misinformation in this thread, you're racking up quite the tally.
So the 'Take on Helicopters' engine is 100% different from ArmA is it?? IIRC the main differences were the rendering range capabilities of Take on Helicopters vs the standard ArmA 2/3 engine. There's been custom work done since, but the origins of ArmA 3 and Take on Helicopters are from the ArmA 2 codebase from what I remember. Both evolved slightly differently and DayZ ended up basing off ToH with further custom work. They are different now, but not as different as some would have people believe.

The CPU's AMD used in the PUBG demo was a 9900K vs 3800X

I think?

It was...

The proof is in the pudding. Not even sure what leaked bench DG is refering to, I've seen another where the 3600 beats the 8700 by a small margin. It's a bottom stack CPU beating or being very close to an upper mid hex core from Intel in a title that has historically favoured Intel, at a lower price.

Don't see how anyone can make anything of it tbh, time will tell
