AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

il be honest im not sure with the whole tarrifs thing kicking in with trumpy so who knows.

I expect whatever you're thinking of buying will already be in the country. So if you're going to buy on release I can't see any tariffs affecting pricing, at least in the UK.

no i mean us prices are normally what we end up with but in pounds, so if there are tariffs on us imports our prices should be seem lower than previous, although knowing the tech industry they will just add it to everyone to be fair.

DG drops in with the odd little comment and creates about 30 posts whining about it. The reaction is completely disproportionate to the original comments. Let it go and / or laugh it off. The responses are trashing the thread more than the original comments.

Report posts you think are trolling to mods, but please stop filling this thread with moaning as that's just as bad to read.

The dayz engine is not the TOH engine anymore, that arma 3 , 2 and TOH uses
Its the "Enfusion" engine which is proprietary.
It does however still kinda suck but in a different way to the arma one.

Good point participant.

Anywho ... It has nothing to do with dgs opinion or fanboys, only that he is presenting facts about the discussion intentionally wrong in order to wait it out till no one any longer gives a hoot then will claim he is right, again misguiding those that don't know better. That is trolling pure and simple.

Back on topic.. I had wondered the very same thing about unlocking cores on the 12c.

no...i said a benchmark had been done for pubg. as many know its a big deal for me and many that play pubg. the benchmark shown that the new zen cpu was equal basically to a 8700 non k varient. so i said and go and check this its a great leap in performance for the new cpus. 15 percent better than previous.

You were claiming AMD did this.

Shame really. I long learnt that ocuk allows this kind of trash, that other international forums do not and have farrrrrr better technical discussion without the drama. Ocuk could be so much better.

Add 2 or 3 people to your ignore list and this thread is transformed into a technical discussion ;)

I can't really make my mind up on RAM. Not going with b-die just means lesser chances of overclocking?

No probs, not long to wait and see for ourselves.. well i wont as i dont have PUBG lol

I am mainly a DayZ player now but nobody benches that game.. if only.
DayZ.....Oh God, why do you hate yourself so much! :p I jest. aye only few short weeks to go then we'll all know the score.

5820k used for gaming. not cinebench what we all buy cpus for lol.

Not everyone wants to waste hours of there life playing games all the time, most cpu (computer) buyers dont care. I certainly don't give a monkeys right baw sack if the 9900KindaSucks edition is 2% faster or whatever.
I do care about not having my online banking passwords being spaffed all over a russian website, or using 100w extra and putting out a lot of heat..

I also would also like not to be ripped off.

Hasn't been possible once Phenom II/Athlon days so I doubt it. Especially with the money involved with top end parts like 12 core to 16 core freebies

Not in the same ball park but more recently we also had bios flashs for 4gb to 8gb GPUs early on in Polaris cycle. AMD have always been leaving "excess" while I don't see 2 4 extra cores being fully unlocked without clock deficits we may get some super low clocking 16 core parts ( 3ghz) or with SMT disabled.

Edit - it is extremely unlikely but wishful thinking never hurt

Trolls on every forum pushing the limits of what they can get away with.

I have always been convinced many of them are paid to spout there BS by the big companies, cant say DG is doing that though as most of his posts look to be either fair enough or ramblings of the ignorant.
But i have no doubt there are plenty of fake posters with marketing departments behind them.

I genuinely believe that there aren't enough Russians alive to be able to post all of the trash that gets attributed to them.
Most guff that gets posted is due to ignorance and a narrow mind.
I remember the days when you had to properly check a game's minimum specs to make sure that it was even going to work on your setup. Nowadays, the most popular games seem to be ignoring graphics quality in favour of riduculous frame rates...despite the fact that the typical game is on a 60Hz refresh rate monitor.
