what I am saying is, if you want to go full romo then I would be looking to buy 10 kits of something like this and then sell 9 of them once binned:

G.SKILL F4-3200C14D-16GFX

You don't need to bother with the 4000+ C18/C19 ram kits.

Out of the 10 kits you will probably find two Dimms that do DDR4000-C12-1T. These two DIMMS will probably do 3600-C12-1T when put together, they may not.

My point is, you need to ask yourself, at what stage is enough? At least sticking with the 8 Pack kits keeps you sane, you know they will play nice together and won't break the bank.

Thats why I'm working with 3633 speed. Post some aida numbers interested what You got. I have not started pushing this kit at 1.45 like I plan to :)

It was my b die in my intel rig I put at 1.45v (needed to push it to CL12).

This 3200CL14 8 pack ram has no thermal monitoring tho, so I couldnt monitor the temp effects, it seems tho on hot summer days with it at 1.45v the temp increase is enough to make my 65535 ram refresh cycle timing (trefi) an issue. On one hot day a couple of weeks back I had weird crashes that didnt go away until I rebooted and it probably was due to the ultra aggressive trefi I set, so that will either go down to 32768 or back to what I had before which was 11430 (oc.net suggest 12k as a safe value thats better than stock, 11430 is what I calculated to be jedec spec to match the higher clock speed of the ram so thats probably how they got to 12k). Basically how far trefi can be pushed is linked to the temperature of the ram, as hotter ram will get flipped bits quicker and its the reason why dram has to self refresh. I may also decide to keep 65535 trefi, but just back off the voltage and go back to CL14, as maxed out trefi has decent gains to both bandwidth and latency, whilst CL12 just helps latency.

I just ordered laser termometer so i can check what sort of temps are mem kits running at with my fan lowing at em :)

Did my first proper recording of CPU stats (using HWInfo) during gaming. In a 10 minute Overwatch match, my R7 3700X settled at 4.225-4.25 GHz at 1.37-1.38 V, with temps averaging 65-70 °C. Not bad for stock.

When the game is running but in the menus (so minimal load), all cores are running at 4.325-4.35 GHz. Pretty good considering the max boost clock is 4.4 GHz.
