The Turing RTX 2080 Ti Owners Thread

2040 @ 45C assassins creed odyssey every thing maxed under volting is really paying off

Hey, I had a go at undervolting with MSI afterburner. I followed a guide in a forum.

It works well to reduce the voltage, but it doesn't stick at the maximum clocks.

Example: If I flatten the voltage curve when I want it, say 2040MHz @ 1.040v.

The clocks just drop as the temps go up and end up below 2000 MHz which isn't really that great.

How have you gone about getting your undervolt? and is it following a similar pattern to how I describe?

Any info would be great. I'd like to keep a lower temp if possible and keep a decent overclock.

Thanks,

Well so far the Zotac 2080 Ti blower is damn nice, Clean looking too IMHO being all black with a black metal backplate, No gamery angles, No flashing lights, Looks very professional and blends into my setup quite nicely, Had it running stable at 2000MHz/7750 on air with dips on the core down to 1900 with a 1:1 fan curve, Replaced the air cooler with a Corsair FE block and it now sits stable at 2050/7750, Very impressed so far.

What temps are you getting with the Corsair FE block? It's the Hydro X series right? They look pretty sweet.

Yep the HydroX, I left the fans on full which is around 1600RPM, Rad is 360mm dedicated to just the GPU, Idle temp under water is 19'c, Quite cold in my home, And temp after an hour of Unigine Valley is 42'c, Again, It's very chilly in my home.

Mine idles in the 27 range thermals are excellent .

Even on air the Zotac blower is really good.

Excellent results. I have x2 360mm rads and 2080ti shares the loop with 9900k. My temps are at least 10-15c above yours. I don't have the best temps. Not great, not terrible. 3.6 roentgen.

It's the first time I built a custom loop, so I am sure something isn't quite right. I have checked everything I can possibly check. Airflow, mounting, etc etc and I can't reduce temps any further.

I have fiddled with the system so much now, I am just going with the if it's not broke don't fix it route!

I've got a 360 and a 480 in my loop, cooling my 2080 Ti and 8086k. GPU idle is 26 or so, mid to high 40's under load. In demanding games and benchmarks it'll rise into the 50's.

My CPU always seems to be around 5-10 degrees higher idle and 10-15 degrees higher under load, I assume because it's an Intel and they're hot when overclocked. :p

Open a window, Point a fan by the window at your rig at a moderate speed and turn off the heating, Does wonders for GPU temps :D

I'm going to do a 2nd loop just for my 9900K so I don't get heat from the GPU and vice versa, If I had my CPU on the same loop my GPU would likely be 10'c higher.

I don't get why people say no benefits to water cooking GPUs.

You can maintain max boost clocks, the same generally can't be said about air cooling.

Seems the 2080Ti really benefits and let's you get the most from it.

Similar to mine then. Mine being just a little bit warmer.

Probably my case. I love the NZXT H700 but the sealed panels don't help the temps one bit.

I am sure the same setup in another case would be better. But after tipping a full glass of coke all over the top of one of my PC's in the past, I like the added protection :-)

I just set to 2050 @ 09.50v and lock with L key 100% power 1200+ on memory saved as 3d profile

also saved defaults as the 2d profile so it down clocks properly

Just see how high a clock u can maintain stable with lower voltages

Did Zotac email back about the extended warranty? I sent mine on the 20th very happy with the card almost doubled my timespy score.

You get the WB model?

Nah, the 'normal' one: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/giga...ddr6-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-1a6-gi.html

I basically eyed up the MSI Lightning, EVGA, Asus Strix and this one since they were all the same price. Gigabyte won in the end due to having the highest base clocks (no real intention to play with overclocking right from the start) and extra years warranty. The £40 off was then the icing on the cake :)

EDIT: Same as one in your sig I assume? :)

I've got the WB model as I can't be bothered with stripping a card to put a block on, then put it all back together come selling time. Yeah, I paid a premium for being lazy. :D

I've heard the normal one can be quite loud.
