With this locking my PC's and some radios to GPS I have really no excuse to ever be late, but often am, there's a forum called Time Nuts that goes into the utmost depth on time standards and there usage, if you want to see how grown men can get inveigled with argument over such matters it's worth a look! Obsessive is not the word ;)

Oooh post the url pls, am interested... :D

Are you running your own time server, @Chris Wilson?

/edit - It's funny that the clock on your desktop is showing different to the program that's running! One says 14:38:50 and the other says 14:38:49

Remote desktop latency. The Heather program is on one PC, the RDC shows the latency from it on another.

On the "radio" PC's I run my own time server, on others I just use a time server client.

Oooh post the url pls, am interested... :D

http://www.ke5fx.com/heather/readme.htm It works with, in my case, a Trimble Thunderbolt GPS disciplined 10mHz frequency source.

They could make it GMT plus or minus three hours and everyone would just get used to it...just like how we”re all used to daylight changing gradually all the time!
