And it will be 150k in no time.
Mclarens drive awesome on a handling front, the looks are great and the doors super cool, but they just miss something for me, very much from around the engine and financially are a nightmare, they loose huge money and cost quite a lot to run.
If your happy to lose 30-50k in the next 12 months on it then its an awesome car, but as with so many modern cars of all types they really lack driving involvement at legal speeds.
Once you get so fast with a car, there becomes a point where performance is no longer a key factor and is why a lot of slow cars are some of the greatest, MX5, GT86 spring to mind and in the realm of the super car the earlier Ferrari's are exactly that, 360, 430, 458 are all incredible fun at legal speeds, the 458 is the cross over point, the faster 488, F8 and other stuff just too capable and feel somewhat less special. Even Lamborghini with that engine from the gods, I dismissed because to enjoy the car on roads you were way beyond speed limits, even the RWD version.
The 458 just makes your senses tingles and grin like a kid even at 20mph.
